I and my friends watch for the greatest boxer of all time showing off his skills while enjoying all the haters getting even more upset as he keeps on winning.

How are you going to be the greatest boxer of all time during the absolute nadir of the sport? Floyd is fighting lesser opponents in a diminished sport ruined by corruption and disinterest.

He's fantastic but the context of his opponents means a big fish in a vanishing pond.

You guys have to remember, this kind of thing is not unprecedented in sports.

In 2016, fighting game legend Daigo Umehara was challenged by hip hop legend and visionary artist Lupe Fiasco to a match of Street Fighter 5.

People called it a freakshow, people called it a circus. No one gave Lupe a shot. They said, "how can someone whos never played a fighting game competitively beat one of the best of all time?"

And against all odds, with everyone against him, Lupe used his unorthodoxy and unpredictability to lay a black eye upon the fighting game community. Daigo didn't know what hit him.

Lupe changed the game, then he retired.

Goes to show that anything is possible in the world of sports. If Lupe could, why cant Conor?

This bout mostly attracts MMA fans and casuals. Boxing fans kinda see it as a sham. Also everybody hates Floyd because he's a wife beater and boring.

Your agenda is obvious and you are wrong btw. Floyd was hated before any of that broke out, it was because he trashed talked a lot like conor does.He isn't boring to people who actually know about boxing and watch more than 1-3 fights in their lifetime.

This should be in the OP.

Anything can happen, kids! Anything!

And that's not the masses. He asked why the masses are cheering for Conor. Most people think of Mayweather as a boring fighter. It is what it is. What experts think is irrelevant.

lol

On the off chance this isn't a joke, Daigo was sandbagging because he thought there was another round left.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?

Its still a carny ass event and its not like most of the boxing fans, myself included, are interested in this as a serious fight. Its basically going to be Floyd doing his thing against a guy who will most likely not be able to keep up, let alone challenge him in any real way. Anything could happen but I'm not expecting anything shocking or interesting.

Floyd's whole gimmick for a decade plus is "Money" Mayweather and bragging about how rich he is and how much money he makes. It's not exactly a babyface character.

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best analysis of the fight from anyone professional or otherwise.

Can we get a poll up in here, to see how much of GAF honestly believes that McGregor has a special little snowflake's chance in Hades?

You couldn't be more wrong. This is the peak and has been for the last decade. The techniques and athleticism is greater than anything in the past and his achievements greater than those of any boxer who lives or has ever fought.

The whole fight will be summarized in animated gifs here and on reddit.

What's to miss?

I'm at my dad's house and he is CONVINCED Conor is gonna win. I'm trying to reason with him but the dude just won't have it lol

It's the only reason I have $100 on Mayweather. My coworker is convinced McGregor is going win in 6 rounds. Seemed like easy money to me.

Personally, I actually hoping Conor wins just for the reactions on GAF & social media.
