Black Licorice, I know one other person who likes this who isn't related to me.

This stuff is awesome. My dad and I love it, but I don't know anyone else that does.

-Braunschweiger
-Liver Sausage
-Artichoke Hearts
-Pineapple Pizza

Tomatoes. I can eat them like apples. Strangely, there are a lot of people (younger than me, usually) that don't like them despite liking ketchup, tomato sauce on pizza and such. One of my favorite sandwiches is sliced tomatoes with cheese, Duke's mayonnaise, and a little pepper. Mmmm.

I also like cottage cheese, rice crackers, and all-beef hotdogs cold and straight out of the package (they are pre-cooked).

I forgot cottage cheese. Nearly everyone in my life thinks it's absolutely disgusting but me. More for me then.
Cottage cheese is wonderful.

There are plenty of varieties at the store. You can get no fat, low fat, 4% milkfat, no salt added, plus all of the flavored varieties such as pineapple, garden vegetable, chive, etc.

I love the stuff. The only one that's kind of gross on its own is the "no salt added" one but I've actually started to combine that with the 4% flavored ones (for a lighter favor balance and sodium content) to great effect.

Cottage cheese is one of my breakfast go-to foods.

Sauerkraut. It's delicious and no one I know likes it

I worked with a middle aged german guy for a couple years, so I developed a taste for sauerkraut since he'd always put it out during bbqs. Now I insist on having it on hotdogs.

Durian

Love both the taste and the smell.

I'm sort of indifferent on the smell, but man I do like durian. I think for most people this alone could end the thread lol. The smell is the one biggest deterrent, followed closely by the texture of the durian. It's pretty fantastic though.

I love mole (sauce) with chicken. It is delicious. But most of my Americans friends have never tried it.

See, the dark color is because the sauce has chocolate in it. But it doesn't taste like chocolate at all. It justs a small part of the ingredients in the sauce.

Mole poblano contains about 20 ingredients, including chili peppers and chocolate, which works to counteract the heat of the chili peppers, but the chocolate does not dominate. It helps give the sauce its dark color, but this is also provided by the mulato peppers.

Mole sauce with chicken is good, but I draw the line at mole ice cream lol

That's definitely a new one fore me. What part of the pig do you use? For some reason I feel something more chewy would work over something that crisps up like bacon.

WTF... that's the first i've ever heard of this :p

I actually used cold, pre-cooked sandwhich ham/ gammon slices. Just break a kit-Kat finger off, wrap a slice of ham around it and enjoy! An excellent mix of chocolate sweetness and salty meat.

I also think I'm the only person in the world who likes coconut

Holy crap yes! First thing that came to mind is Sauerkraut. Had friends round for a movie and cracked open a new jar just to see everyone recoil in disgust :( why does no-one like sauerkraut :(

Are there any foods you like or have no issues eating that others seem to find digusting or unappetizing? Mine is Branston Pickle, which I had recently found to be quite tasty. The others in our group trying it found it to be completely disgusting and had to spit it out moments after it hit their lounge.

Branston Pickle is godly, especially on a cheese toastie. Your friends are simply wrong.

I love cottage cheese! I could live on just that. Good it is healthy or I would have a problem xD
But my friends don't dislike it exactly.
You can mix so much stuff in it as well.

Fermented eggs, fermented fish, salted fish, pickled onions, tripe and other offal and anchovies.

Another one is tofu. I'm not even vegetarian but I really can appreciate some really well prepared tofu whilst my friends just turn up their noses to it.

Really disturbingly artificially flavored things really excite me, and turn off anyone who's not 10. Bubble gum, or cotton candy flavored things. Inappropriately pizza flavored things. Anything that's bright blue and edible. Anything that's neon colored and edible. I love food that feels like it was designed algorithmically by and extruded from futuristic machines.

I grew up in Dayton and have never heard of "Dayton Style" pizza. Explain please? Now I'm dying to know...

Thin, very crunchy crust pizza, sometimes with salt added to it. There is one, Casano's, uses so much salt on the crust that it tastes like a salt lick instead of baked dough. It's absolutely disgusting.
