Chelsea need to respect other clubs and their position.

I really hope Spurs hold true on this and block this transfer as Modric is tied to a long-term contract. As an Arsenal fan I have very little love for Spurs but I really hate other clubs just using superior financial muscle to bully other clubs around. They need to learn to accept that no means no. Modric showed a lack of class going public on his this matter, should have left that crap behind closed doors.

It's not a matter of respect really, I imagine ever club does this. I think the Spuds are probably just sour because it's another London club and Modric has actually seemed interested.

It's said time and again, there's no point keeping a player who doesn't want to stay; keep them, you run the risk of them not putting in an enthusiastic shift because they no longer want to be there. Or sell them, and get what you can to get a new player.

Honestly, if we are out to get him and he wants to come I think it will happen. Spurs will probably put out press saying he's going nowhere, not for sale etc. Then behind the scenes they'll tell him if he wants to go he has to request it. That way, It looks like the club did all they did to keep him and that he's the real bad guy if he leaves.

Yes please. I'd welcome him. He's a quality player, and he would be of use against Spurs. I miss having a dirty player in the 11

this kinda feels like the cesc and barcelona situation but cesc seems to have a crazy amount of respect for arsenal so he wont ask for the transfer.

I wonder if El Cubo Erick Torres will stay at Chivas if he lights up the U20's and Copa as many in the know over here in Europe predict he might. Would love Liverpool to take a punt on him, especially since we're being held to ransom for English talent like Wickham.
