Damn, i dont get why they overhit their centers. Our strikers are taller than the defenders.

Edit: welp, not even with a decent cross can we score

Even though he was the best goal scorer in the mex league, i cant shake the feeling the feeling that Reyna doesnt belong in the national team.

Chicharito is a pure scorer its incredible. Mediocre dribbling and passing, but feed him in the box, its going in the net.

And cmon son! You gotta get those semi tix early especially if you're anticipating going that far, which Mexico should and is.

How it came to that, though!?

Consecutive run of bad seasons. The percentages based relegation backfired on the AFA on that one cause they didn't do that bad and they did pretty good this year.

River Plate are going to play two games of Promotion against Belgrano.

As an Englishman, I find it ironic that River could be 'sunk' by Belgrano.

The average system was put in place to prevent this kind of thing happening. Looks like it just backfired big time.

Edit: So Barca are willing to sell Villa to City or Chelsea in order to make room for Cesc, Sanchez, and or Rossi?

http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/News-Barcelona-prepared-to-sell-David-Villa-to-Chelsea-or-Manchester-City-to-fund-transfers-article749171.html

Barcelona are preparing to offer David Villa to Manchester City and Chelsea for £40million.

The Catalan giants have *reluctantly accepted that they will have to *sacrifice their World Cup-winning striker to help fund a £91m triple summer swoop for Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas, Udinese winger *Alexis Sanchez and Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Barca boss Pep Guardiola has been restricted to a £40m transfer budget as the La Liga and Champions League winners set about slashing their £350m debt.

And Nou Camp president Sandro Rosell has made it clear to his *manager that further money for *signings must be generated through sales.

Villa, 29, joined Barca only 13 months ago in a £35m switch from Valencia and notched 23 goals for Guardiola’s team last season.

He is also Spain’s all-time record scorer with 46 goals in 72 international appearances.

A source revealed: “Guardiola has a list of players he is *prepared to move on to give him more spending power in the transfer market, but Villa is definitely not on that list.

“Ideally, he wants to keep Villa – especially after the impact he made in his first campaign with Barca. He sees David as a big player as his side push for more trophies next season.

“But he also knows that he may have to sacrifice Villa to finance incoming deals. And Manchester City and Chelsea would be very happy to buy Villa.”

Rosell has told the Gunners that he won’t pay more than £35m for Fabregas, while a £2.7m-a-season deal with the £30m-rated Sanchez – who is also being chased by Manchester United, Manchester City, Juventus and Inter Milan – has already been agreed.

Rossi is close to completing a £26m switch, and his agent Federico Pastorello confirmed: “His dream is to certainly wear the Barcelona shirt and with official negotiation I believe a deal can be done.”

Barca’s Spanish international c*entre-back Gerard Pique, who played alongside Rossi when they were youngsters together at Old Trafford, said: “Giuseppe has so much talent, good control and is very fast.

“He fits neatly into Barcelona as both a man and a player.”

I don't believe the corrupt as fuck AFA will allow it though. Bet on River eeking it out due to referee errors. This might serve as a catalyst to drop the percentages or they may go the other way and just drop relegation down to one club instead like they have in Mexico.

Grondona has been fighting with Passarella about really serious stuff lately. I wouldn't be surprised if he punishes him by sending them to the B.

I wonder if El Cubo Erick Torres will stay at Chivas if he lights up the U20's and Copa as many in the know over here in Europe predict he might. Would love Liverpool to take a punt on him, especially since we're being held to ransom for English talent like Wickham.

He already played a tourney in France this month he didn't do well and he was dropped from the Copa squad(along with Eder Pacheco and Fernando Navarro). There is way too much pressure being put on him but hopefully he rebounds for the u20 WC.

Don't United have first option on all Chivas players now?

This is fucking great. As soon as he mentions FM, it completely derails his argument about the players, which happens to be a good one. Thank you. :)

Seriously. It's all going well until FM is mentioned.

Samir Nasri is still refusing to commit his future to Arsenal and will not do so until he sees how much the Gunners are prepared to spend in the summer. (the Sunday Times - subscription required).
Arsene Wenger is weighing up the most astonishing transfer swoop of the summer - for Joey Barton. The Arsenal manager has finally accepted the need to inject some bite and experience into his team of perennial underachievers. Full story: Sunday People
That's how you plan to keep Nasri?

Dont sniff at barton, hes shown at newcastle he is a decent player and could add a bit of that venom and steel the arsenal midfield have been missing for so long.

Yep, in the middle of the negotiations Barton is going to come in and keep poking Nasri in the eye with a cigar until he signs a contract.

Pretty sure that transfer story is bollocks, it all comes from Skybet slashing the odds on him coming to us.

That could be the team of the forever. Rossi, Sanchez and Fab being added to the barca line-up is a mouth watering proposition

I still don't see why Barca needs Sanchez. Pep has made it pretty obvious he has a huge hard on for Pedro on the RW which would make Sanchez a rotation player. Same goes for Fabregas but I can see him moving just based on the team wanting him there as well as the fans.

Rossi is the player out of these three that Barca needs the most. His style suits Barca very well. Not to mention the LW position is what Pep clearly wants to improve on.

Anyone here read The Blizzard? Seen some pretty good reviews, and their first (and only) 2 issues are 'pay-what-you-like'. Gonna give them a read this week.

How did Barrera do in the Mexico match? I'm hoping we can keep hold of him, but as he didn't adjust immediately to the Premiership style of play I'm wondering how he'll find the Championship.
