Back from Glastonbury, shame I didn't see Carroll, just seen the pictures.

Can't believe Villas Boas resigned and joined Chelsea, I thought he'd stay at Porto for at least another season, although I suppose the money and prestige on offer from Chelsea was just too much for him to turn down. Great move from Chelsea (unfortunately for the rest of us), I'm a big fan of Villas Boas and was eager to snatch him up in the pre-Dalglish sections of this previous season, although now we look set up for a good few years with Dalglish and then (fingers crossed) Clarke to take the reins.

Looks like we've signed Adam too which is good news.

Good signing if we have, wish the club would hurry up and confirm it if we have signed him though, every day there seems to be an "Adam spotted in car" rumour.

The Redmen TV have just released their end of season special, only £1 so I bought it last night. I enjoyed some of their Youtube stuff, this looks like it'll be great as well - interviews with Tony Barrett, Brian Reade, Jay McKenna, Darren Farley etc.

Just a heads up if you want to download it though, do it when you have a few hours to spare. The site it's hosted on has horrible download speeds, so it took me 5 hours to download last night.

He just tweeted a picture of himself on a golf course so maybe not today!

2x La liga ( villa, messi)
Liga long sleeve (piqué)
Champions league (abidal)

Now 2 more...will be Pedro and puyol. Was a decent deal though, 20 euro each. Plus I wear this barca jersey most. Other ones had pulled threads ect. But now I am trying to rationalise it :)

Tried on the new ac Milan kit too...tis nice.

Good morning! Aaaahhh, nothing like waking up next day after destroying São Paulo by 5x0!

And too bad for River Plate. As a Corinthians supporter, I know what it is like! XD

Arsenal board ready to sell Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona - BBC Sport

Hold on to your hats.

In seriousness, if this is true, especially combined with the potential departure of Nasri, Wenger needs to get some discussions going to bring in some quality replacements and rebuild his team.

"We've got Cesc Fabregas!"...Err...To be fair, it's the right decision, now just for the right price. Something tells me Arsenal won't get his true worth though.

There were also reports last night that Barcelona had already began planning the "Cesc Homecoming" marketing drive. Looks like it's finally happening.

Since his contract runs until 2015 you'd think they'd be able to get a fair price. Time will tell though. I'm more interested in the Nasri situation, honestly. As strange as it would be, I really wouldn't mind him playing CAM for united!

Prob not the best idea for cesc to go to Barcelona on his holidays after canning his Ibiza holiday with pique and puyol.

Speaking of which... Can anyone recommend a good site that still have old kits? Looking a Bayern and Germany kit. If possible from a couple of years ago...

I'd be pissed off if we let him go for 35m.
What's the minimum you'd be content to take? It's a strange market with crazy numbers flying around, but I'd think at least £42m or so would be a reasonable price.

Yep somewhere around there, I just don't think we should be held to ransom because of his "Barca DNA."

At the end of the day he is young, one of the best players in the world and on a long term contract.

Sid Lowe speaks and it will happen!

De Gea in Machester for his medical provokes sheetfail incident. Mail Online says it's a £17.8m deal. Also apparently a five year contract.

And, weirdly, I have that same exact shirt.

Lol seems like they were trying to cover him with the sheet, but it clearly failed.

On the other hand great news.
De Gea is a fantastic signing! Second best Spanish GK in the premiership! :D

ts official. Takashi Usami from Gamba Osaka is coming on loan to bayern

Let's hope for the best, I hope he makes a good run at Bayern because we really will need a backup winger this season.

Haha, sure dude.

De Gea is a great signing for United, if he is as good as they hope he is going to be then Ferguson has made some great signings so far this summer. Young was one I was disappointed to see go to them as i'd have been happy for him to come to Chelsea and the same with Jones, Fergie has been very active so far this window but he knows what he is doing.

Should be a cracking season.

De Gea might actually be the first Spanish player to make a league appearance for United.

Edit: Pique a few seasons ago, of course--slip of the brain! And the South American players will help bridge the language gap with De Gea, I'm sure.

Pique of recent times.

The red kit isn't too bad. Very AC Milanish.

With De Gea signing, it'll take the spending towards £50 million. Now a quality midfielder and we should be ready for next season. Fergie did say he's got funds available, maybe using the ronaldo money.

A lot of Twitter scuttle-butt today saying we've agreed £35 mill. for Modric. Sounds awfully premature to me.

Facepalm at the sheet. But a great buy for United. His only true weakness is his occasional bad decision making but that's something that experience can iron out.

And if Barca ends up with Cesc then I think they will give up on Sanchez (at least for a year). Funny situation, after all this transfer madness he might not leave Udinese this summer.

Well the money was always there, from Ronaldo and from success. It's just his style to spent more every 3-4 years and then be somewhat quiet during the between time. The next 2-3 summers will be more boring again.

Remember Wenger saying the same thing when we signed Berbatov. maybe he should use the same policy ;)

Didn't that originate from the same "exclusive at Xpm" guy who said we went in 20m+ for Defour last week? Not a reliable source.

No really, he is. Right now he is, anyway. Even if he does play well, which he will because he's a good keeper, he'll have to play very, very well to be better than Pepe. Reina's a fantastic keeper. Maybe I'll get called biased because he plays for Liverpool, but you don't win 3 Golden Gloves awards in a row if you're not good. If it wasn't for Pepe we'd have been in an even worse position under Hodgson.

So why did Man Utd need Ashley Young?

And people said i was crazy about saying Nani should bail out. His place in the team getting smaller.
He has said he welcomes Young's signing and is happy for the club to buy players for further success. He said he's been at the club competing for a place with Ronaldo before so he's happy to fight for his place again.

Nani won't panic. He is sensible and very well grounded. He knows the club and manager he is at value all their players and don't often give up on them. The second half of last season must have been tough for him but SAF is a manager who cares for his players and trusts them, and not just when it comes to football. Nani is showing his character by showing his will to fight for his place and isn't moaning, good character.

Nani really stepped up when Rooney wasn't performing earlier in the season. apart from ronaldo and messi, Nani was one of the best attacking players last season, would be confusing if he was sold.
