Daniel Alves has urged Cesc Fabregas to force through his move to Barcelona this summer.

The Brazilian told Spanish radio station RAC-1: "I understand that he doesn't want to leave Arsenal on bad terms but I can understand why he would force a move to Barca.”

He added: “Players always end up playing where they want to play and a club shouldn't keep an unhappy player."

Alves likened the midfielder’s situation to his time at Sevilla when he pushed for a transfer to Barcelona in 2008.

"I forced my exit from Sevilla; I saw the train passing by and I wanted to be in business class,” he said.

what say you wegner?
Argh... If Cesc was going to force Arsenal's hand then he would be a Barca player already.... Cesc has far too much respect for Arsenal, Wenger and the fans of the club to be so disrespectful.

I have had enough of this saga though. Give us our fee and take the player.

Lol.

I'm already tired of Cesc.

Aren't we all. The topic has been extremely exhausted by the media - its a never ending saga and one that will go down in history as the most obvious transfer that should have occurred years before it actually happened. Pathetic really.

Just listening to this young English boy whose had a trial at Barca talking about the differences in style of football between England and Spain, saying how teams in Spain are better "...except Real Madrid". He is 7 years old.

He's not as good as Sonny Pike.

If you're admitting you come in only occasionally, it's not surprising you missed the evolution of the joke, which was myself and dc89 commenting on the quality of the City website, which evolved to good natured ribbing from a few others about it surely being one of the dot points on City's welcome brochure. :lol It's harmless, it's only brought up in jest (and usually by other's, not me), and I think you need to relax.

Can't say I noticed your absence though, so good riddance if you choose to depart.

Can we have a vote to evict please?

I would gladly pay 10m for him. Better than 17m for Baines.
I would be shocked if Baines went anywhere for 17m, he's easily Everton's most important player. If they were forced into a position to sell someone, I think Rodwell or Jagielka would go before Baines.

Welcome Adam :)

A decade from now and Daglish will look younger than Adam.

Was thinking the same.

Now please send Christian Poulsen back on a free transfer to us, we could use him even if he failed both in serie a and premier league.

Great to see Adam done and dusted, interview was great talking about trophies. Like the number 15 too.

Speaking of trophies I hope we give the FA Cup a really good go next year, like City did to break their duck, we've been trophy-less since 2006 and it'd be symbolic to end that drought with the trophy we last won. Hopefully we can climb into the Champions League spots too, I know it's far too early to tell if that's a plausible aim but I want to think it is, especially with the type of form we've produced since January.

My hope is the same. A title and a top four spot. The numbers don't lie, we have been one of the best teams since January, and with players like Gerrard, Agger and Kelly constantly injured (even Carroll).

We can do the same or even better with the squad we're building.

United's final game next season is against Sunderland. A back line including Brown, O'Shea, Bardsley and Richardson ahead of them with Bruce as manager...Hmm...

Latest from Valencia's manager suggests they do not want to sell Mata and are not entertaining the idea...and apparently he is cool with it. Hmmm...sell him to Arsenal, then they can give us Nasri =)

The Telegraph are reporting that we're about to launch an improved £18 million pound bid for Downing. I hope we get him but I wouldn't raise the bid any higher than that.

Secondly it seems the fee for Adam was actually £6.75 million, possibly rising to £8.5 depending on certain clauses.

Lastly Tony Barrett from the Times is leading with a back page that we're resigned to leaving Anfield and are now seriously looking for stadium naming rights to partly fund the construction. I'm not too bothered about having to sell naming rights, it's what happens inside the stadium that defines it's character, I'm just sad we have to leave Anfield, although it was really an inevitability. However the up side to this news is that I should finally get my season ticket.

Here's more on Sneijder's possible move to Malaga for €35million.

Transfer consultant Ernesto Bronzetti says he has been informed that Malaga have offered €35 million for Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

[...]

"A friend of mine who has a restaurant chain, including one near Malaga which is run by his brother, confirmed to me that he learned from Malaga's executives they had made an offer of €35m for Sneijder," Bronzetti told Sky Sport24.

"He told me that tonight, there will be another meeting in this restaurant, located four to five kilometres outside Malaga, and this time the player's agent should be present."

Stupid sales clerk dealt with for those of you who care, got on to the regional manager and got myself a refund (on the chelsea 3rd kit) and a voucher for free printing on my next kit I buy there (lol never again)

Jersey collecting/ printing = serious business :)

edit: store clerk told me they called around to the other stores to try get me another jersey and print it for me again and she said she had no luck finding one. funny how i went to their nearest store earlier in the day found it (their own store) and tried it on. if they would not give me a refund i was just going to buy it there and be done with it (then proceeding to scorch the earth over the phone to the head office) lol

oh and those of you asking, there was a poster in the window saying the new man united away kit launches july 14th. so there you go.

To highlight Malaga's intentions and ambitions further, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini revealed the race to sign Javier Pastore was being lead by Malaga and Real Madrid.

Henry's tweets crack me up, saying the reason the Valencia friendly was priced the way it is because Mata was playing. Joking of course but at least he's aware we want him, and he tweeted Mata himself so he does too.

So much damn potential in this u17 squad. Espericueta especially.

:lol. Alot of people would be banned.

What a match. What you want to know about Emre Can? He's a midfielder, plays in the Bayern U19 team. I guess he's going to get promoted to Bayern II very soon.
