so Rio Ferdinand's blabbering on twitter about having an EPL all-star game.

one of the ideas he had was to do away with the Community Shield and do League Champs vs PL All-Stars.

i quite like the idea. I'm surprised there arent more fantasy XI games like that Europe XI game from a few years ago.

plus the Community Shield's pointless anyway. Why not make a spectacle of it.

I prefer the idea of a North v South game like the Pro Bowl in NFL.

Yeah I'm waiting for returns or general sale as well for those. I can't afford too many tickets right now but wanted to go to Swansea. Finally got on the site after about an hour and there's only crap seats left as you said.
I was on for 2 hours this morning, couldn't get it to load on the web and couldn't get through at all on the phone. Had to go to work but managed to get through on the phone in my lunch break, ended up paying £42 for an Anfield Road Upper ticket, what a pile of shite. I'm row 2 which isn't bad but I'm also by the corner flag, which as seats go is pretty terrible. I was speaking to the woman and she said it's likely to get worse on Thursday, I don't know how that's possible.

When buying online were you and Elseanio able to cue up a bunch of tickets in your baskets? It just wouldn't load the stadium planner thing for me, when I clicked 'buy tickets' it kept loading. I'm planning on getting about 4 on Thursday, and 3 of those will be fairly high demand (sunderland, City and Blackburn). Not looking forward to that at all.

If it couldn't get any worse I've just been given a shift tomorrow which means I'll have to leave for work about 30 mins into the friendly, going to have to recap on everything on .TV when I get in. Piss take.

Meireles confirmed that he's staying at Liverpool
Fantastic, although I wonder what this means for Aquilani and Shelvey. I don't think Kenny would ship Spearing out after just signing a new contract with him and him being a local lad. It's a nice problem to have but a problem nonetheless.

Speaking of Aquilani, a blog on our website talked about how he stayed behind after everyone when meeting the fans in China to sign every persons stuff who asked. Thats class from the guy, he's not really featured for us and may not feature for us in the future but he's taking every effort to make sure the fans who don't get any interaction with our club have a good experience. It's such a shame, because I like the guy off the field, like him on it, yet I still think he'll be sold.

Oh and there was a hilarious video of Carroll showing him how to use his 3DS on the plane, he went over and started asking what to do in his broken English. Hilarious.

Here in the State's, All Star games are a complete joke and the players don't care. At least the Community Shield is something managers seem to want to win. Players actually try to get out of playing in All Star games here.

True. The only all star game that is taken seriously is Baseball's. The reason for that is that it determines home field advantage for the finals. I don't like that idea and it's impossible for it to work since there aren't playoffs in Europe.

Even the MLB ALL STAR game is not taken seriously. I mean every team has to have at least one representative. How does that make any sense. The fact that home field is on the line only matters to a handful of teams anyway. It's ridiculous.

The answer to your question is pretty simple: look at the amount of playing time he got at the last World Cup, while he was playing for Villareal.
This was Lippi's fault, and he admitted recently that his biggest regret about WC2010 was not having Rossi in the squad.

On LFC TV, the video is called 'behind the scenes on the plane', it's probably been ripped to Youtube if you don't have a membership, try the video thread on RAWK. Pretty funny stuff.

Just saw our new home jersey. Looks nice, though those greedy arseholes @ the FAI won't be getting my money due to us still having a sponsor on the shirt.

Nah, you get a great view from up there. Will post a picture of when I was sat there.

Stadium plan loads for me, and then you pick the block then individual seat(s). Think the server was just overloaded. Thursday is gonna be rough :(

I think that looks grim. Ours is nearly as bad, I do like our away kit though...

Cheers man, that'd be great, the woman said it wasn't bad and I was lucky to get row 2, but still, would've preferred Anni Road Lower.

Aye it wasn't working in Chrome still but I just tried it in Firefox and it worked fine. Might've been able to get an alright ticket if I'd have tried Firefox this morning. Yep, Thursday is going to be rough, I want Sunderland, Norwich and Blackburn and I'm going to try for a City ticket on Friday.

Pepe, Ramos extend Real contracts

A statement on Real's official website confirmed: "The players Sergio Ramos and Pepe have renewed their contracts with Real Madrid C. F. and are linked to the club until 2016-2017 and 2015-2016 seasons respectively."

'Sneijder is not for sale'

Inter Milan director Marco Branca has warned interested clubs off Wesley Sneijder, insisting the Dutch star "is not for sale". Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly tracking the playmaker.

"There is nothing to update," Branca said. "It's not surprising Sneijder is wanted by other clubs, but we have received no formal offer, nor do we intend to wait for one.

"We know what we have to do and there are no meetings planned with his agent. Sneijder is not for sale.

so who will man utd go after now to fix their mid?

I'm starting to think nobody. The type of playmaker United needs is a rarity atm and the rare bunch that is available is too expensive. They're simply running out of targets.

new barcelona player.
What a shit... I didn't want they sign Alexis Sanchez neither Neymar. They had to put all they efforts trying to get Fabregas if he is impossible then promote some junior player.

Transfer window has barely started. Sneijder isn't the only midfield target available, just the most media-vaunted. But if we don't buy, then Anderson and Cleverley are worth being given a real chance alongside Carrick, Giggs and Fletcher. Plus, Morrison and Pogba are the future--can't wait to see them in the CC this season.

Yurt

il capo silenzioso
Rossi has apparently agreed personal terms with Juve. Now we just need to hope Villareal are more open to negotiation than Atletico were.

Yeah no kidding, Aguero agreed to join us too but Atletico won't budge on their 45m fee. :/ imo we should've used that 10m wasted on signing Motta and Pepe on Aguero.

Maybe Rossi is a smoke screen for Aguero to pressure Atletico ? we'll see after Copa :p

by the insane tax loopholes high-paid players can exploit.

Oh man I read about that, quite ridiculous.

Rossi is going to be a fool if he goes to a team that doesn't play CL.

You made it sound like it's normal for us not to play in the CL. You of all people should remember this lol ? :p

Wow, someone who actually talks some sense when it comes to our midfield.
