the tottenham keeper? lol he's just as bad as julio cesar when it comes to making mistakes. This brazil team doesn't seem like they'll dominate matches like the old team.

Got back from the Revolution game a few minutes ago. Naturally, they got demolished but that last goal from Park was class.

I was sort of surprised that we could only get 50k, they didn't open the third tier area at all and the second tier had a ton of seats that people like me got for 20 dollars. Having said that it was nice to see that many attend a game here; Gillette isn't so bad when there are people in the stadium (and when they lay down grass)

also why the hell is attendance so important to MLS?? If you find it empty and want to push for more crowd...invite my fellow mexicans/latinos...we love futbol and beer as well as white girls.

Haha. In all fairness, I think it was perfectly reasonable considering the sport is so subjective. It's not something I'd argue about - it's just an opinion.

20mil for Downing is an absolute bargin as Liverpool buy yet another over-priced inconsistent player. If you're an Aston Villa fan don't be that concerned you can do much better with 20mil than Downing.


If Arsenal hold Nasri and he walks for nothing next season I will be fucking furious with Wenger. That is downright bloody stupid... what the hell is the man thinking? The board are stupid if they allow Wenger to do this... If he doesn't want to sign, get rid of them and buy someone who does want to sign. The player is not that good anyway.

I don't want Nasri playing for our club if he doesn't sign a contract. Fans won't accept it but you know Wenger has finally lost it when he says he expects people who love AFC to respect Samir like Samir respects AFC.

Yeah we probably got a great deal... BUT - as ever the way we handled this as a club just seems directionless. Every year we sell our best player. Barry, Milner, Young and now Downing. If anything we are gathering pace in selling.

We sure could use some good news right now. Some statement on strategy, signings I dunno. But something.

He's the best winger in the league after Nani. He will shine now at a big club.

I'm not saying by any means that Aston Villa is a small club.

They are bigger than City... I meant was that he'll have the spotlights on him now, and he's around a better squad. He'll make Carroll score many goals, and will play with Gerrard, etc. That will be great for him.

Don't want to derail this any further but honestly, read what you write and think about how people interpret it. I read this and the MLS thread and see your tag as "banned" pretty often, maybe this could enlighten you as to why.

Fair enough :) Look he is going to work out well for Liverpool. Its very worrying for us right now in that we have just lot a large amount of chance creators all in one go. Developing....

That's the only team I don't want to play. We just played them. I thought for sure there was an article (couple of months back) saying we would play Spain or Portugal this year.

I wouldn't call any of Liverpool's signings inconsistent. Inexperience is the biggest thing against each of these guys except Downing and Suarez.

As for Downing, I've never really liked him as a player, but he has played at a high level for several years on decidedly average teams.

Villa are kind of heartbreaking now. Milner, Young, Barry, and Downing, all gone within 2 years. How long until Gabe Agbonlahor get's sold to Newcastle?

I don't see Nasri as a natural winger as Downing is... I mean, he had one assist in the PL last season.

I had forgotten about Bale... he is better, but he's not as consistent as Downing....

He had a better season than Young, and considering he still had two years left, the price did not surprised me.
