its not like its hard to have a half blue half white shirt. it hasnt changed for 50 some odd years.

same with the Arse and their white sleeves. there's not much you can do with it other than add a bit of trim or remove a bit of trim here and there.

Funny you should say that as this kit is totally different to anything we've ever had, this is true halves as opposed to quarters

I hope Man Utd's signing of Sneijder goes through. It'll be Milan's best signing - much like the signing of Benitez last year.

EDIT: Oh, and Allegri spoke positively about Montolivo in his last press conference and apparently Braida is talking with Pastore's agent. If we end up with Montolivo only I'll be sad, he's not at all what it takes for Milan to climb back up to the top again. Pastore AND Montolivo? That'd be great since Montolivo'd be a great back-up player.

Pretty subtle though. How many non-Rovers fans would ever notice this?

Are liverpool trying to build a north east select eleven with these signings.
With the exception of Pepe we could field an all British outfield team next season, if we wanted to, and probably perform quite well. Having this sort of depth is a good thing.

the number doesnt bother me so much as Young does.

he doesnt pass the look test. he just looks like generic like something out of a FIFA create-a-player mode. he should grow a frohawk or something.

It was a nothing game and looks are always deceiving pre-season but I was liking the look of Macheda last night.

Also, this.

I think the fact that Fergie has such immense belief in him is a telling sign that he should be given a chance.

He looks weird because his jersey is too big, and the whole long sleeved shirt under the jersey just looks dumb....wear a long sleeved jersey you dope!

I approve :)
I still prefer Alex :( but I don't think he's coming now. Lets hope Boateng gets fit soon. Also, Jupp on Vidal topic:

Heynckes on Vidal: "He won´t go to Juve. And neither to Lazio or somewhere else. Arturo will come to Bayern. If not now, then next summer."

My only problem with Macheda last night is his reading of passes could still use some work, he misread a few passes which could have created goal scoring opportunities. Apart from that he looked very good.

Sheffield rivals Wednesday and United will carry the same joint shirt sponsors next season in a first for English football.

Fierce Scottish Premier League rivals Celtic and Rangers have frequently shared sponsors, as they currently do with Tennent’s.

But it is first time such a deal has been struck south of the border, with the League One clubs set to display Westfield Health and Gilders Motor Group logos on their strips next term.

United and Wednesday’s dual sponsors will have a ‘home team’ and ‘away team’. The Gilder Group’s logo will appear on the front of Wednesday’s home strip and United’s away strip, while Westfield Health will be displayed on the Blades’ home kit and the Owls’ away shirt.

Sheffield Wednesday chairman Milan Mandaric said: “This is an exciting partnership for all concerned and will further develop as the season progresses.

“I am new to this city but have quickly recognised the importance of working with two organisations who are Sheffield through and through.”

Sheffield United chairman Kevin McCabe added: “Sheffield is very proud of its footballing heritage and with this deal the city has added yet another first to the history books.

“Sheffield United are eagerly anticipating working with two such reputable Sheffield-based companies, who we know well, in the season ahead.”

the vw logo fits well, hopefully the gilder logo is moved to fit the centre blue stripe in the final kit.

Well looks like the probe into match fixing has hit Besiktas harder than Fenerbahce.

I guess thats what happens when shit like this goes down. The real offenders get busted.

"We talked before we went on vacation," Adebayor told AS. "He said he was calm, that he wanted me to stay. If he called me right now, I would catch the first plane out to Los Angeles [where Real are currently on their pre-season tour]. And if I could play three or four years in Madrid, I would retire at the club.

"I'm hoping and working towards my dream. I only want to return to Real Madrid. I will wait for his call. [Mourinho] gave me the confidence I needed, made me believe in myself, enjoy football again. We were convinced we could win titles, which was mportant. He created a great environment.

"I talk to [Karim] Benzema almost every day - yesterday we talked for a while. I've been in touch with Marcelo, Cristiano [Ronaldo]. They are good friends.

"[Mourinho] is the best coach I've ever worked with, no doubt, and Madrid will win titles with him. I would love to play under him again and I say, 'I'm here if you need me'. If we do not meet again, I wish him and the club well and I say this wholeheartedly: 'I owe you one'."

Can't wait till he starts talking shit about Mourinho and Real in 2 years to force another move out. I hate Adebayor, and he never ceases to amaze me about how much of a giant cunt he is.

It's fucking sacrilege is what it is. I still don't like it one bit.

So we await the day until the 7 finds another proper vessel to tear up the opposition on a weekly basis.

Not really...he already talked crap about Mancini and Manchester City. He still to this day talks about how bad Arsenal and Wenger are. Pretty funny considering I have never heard anyone talk bad about Wenger except for Adebayor.

It's really strange, despite Fergie denying the Sneijder thing today, it seems like various news outlets are ramping it up by saying a £35.2m fee has been agreed. Have they not heard the interview or do they actually know something?

They're just quoting yesterdays Mirror/Mail quotes that came out before Fergie's interview I think.

sounds like Modric has handed in his transfer request. Spurs are basically just waiting for the right number at this point, right?

I mean, what gain was their for besiktas to fix games against themselves? They suffered so many dodgy ref calls, cards and penalties last season it looked like someone was out to get them.
