There's an entire spectrum between the antipodes of blithely letting Molyneux mislead (intentionally or unintentionally) everyone yet again and starting an interview by bluntly asking whether he thinks of himself as a pathological liar. I mean, I understand it's a tactic to keep Molyneux from feeling trapped later in the conversation when John's motives become more apparent, but I suspect the same thing could've been achieved without the kidney punch. Perhaps we needn't have read so much of the self-victimization angle. The problem is, the last 20 years of journalists being nice towards Molyneux, has resulted in nothing but bullshit from him. It was certainly harsh, and I think that was a nice change. He backed everything up with stone cold facts as far as I can tell, something most journalists don't want to as they're afraid they can't become the companies community manager in the future.
