Tbf the more credible papers are reporting it in a more fair minded way in tomorrows papers. "Incident, players disciplined, felt it was harsh, dealt with, episode over."
That said, never mind the press they will do what they always do and try to make a story and make it last as long as they possibly can.
Im just disappointed in Rooney. I'm not even surprised anymore, I just want one season from him when he can behave himself. He obv. broke the rules about going out and that shouldn't be happening, whether it was a harsh punishment or not. He's one of the more senior players now, alot of the younger talents will look up to him. He's our star player and at a time when we're missing leaders in Vidic, Ferdinand and Giggs as well as a whole host of other players, when we're paying him freakin £170k a week...he can't adhere to the managers rules and lead the team on and off the pitch.
I used to be certain Rooney would develop and grow up and become club captain. It will never happen now, he is way too irresponsible. I always go back to this, but Ronaldo for all his faults would never do silly things like this. That was a player 110% dedicated to his career and his club and a much better example than Rooney. If he played for another club I can't imagine how I'd feel about him.
