I think Pep might have fancied taking over a side with the prestige of United.

ManUnited fans thought it was quite a big deal that Pep refers to them as just "Manchester". Maybe they were right :p

I don't see it being that unlikely that Pep would pick United over City

While not the best, I'd add Bielsa to that list. He may not be have the silverware but anyone who learns more about his coaching and philosophy would be hard pressed to argue. Pep said so himself on numerous occasions. Many of the things he's been utilizing for over a decade (though not work he pioneered) has trickled it's way down to some of the most successful sides in Europe today. His Chile side was, imo, the most exciting team in the 2010 world cup.

Some of his training sessions are a work of beauty. The stuff of legends.

And Suarez is a testament to the strength of the EPL in comparison to the mighty Eredivisie. :p

Suarez hasn't scored since the 28th of January. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Aspas scored more goals in La Liga last season than he has had appearances for LFC.

What website do you use for your bets?

Probably a sportsbook that is based out of Antigua and Barbuda.

Just seeing the COC Final on Sunday is at 8:00 AM. Dammit that blows. I wanted to go to a pub for this one but I dunno if I'll want to be up and showered then drive 20 minutes to then have to pay to park, etc. at 8 in the morning. *grumble*

I'm scared of today's match. Henderson is the key.

I love it when you play 5-a-side and end up with a team where nobody is selfish, there's loads of movement, the goals are shared around and you don't all shout at eachother for fucking up

Pep's job criteria:

1. Work with Soriano and Based Txiki
2. Have a youth team with the word 'Elite' in it despite them being fucking shit
3. As a coach, United truly offers nothing over City at this point in time despite them being one of the richest clubs in the world and having just won the league
4. Blue is better than red
5. Taking on the mantle from great managerial luminaries such as Roberto Mancini

God damn we're shite :(

The results of a youth team are borderline irrelevant. Individual performances and progression are much more important

None of the players in City's EDS will succeed at City

Rekik and Rony say hi. :p

PSV are going to ask City if they can keep him next season too, I say go for it. He will be our left back at some stage.

That's a bold statement Hitcher.

If Dan is to be believed, Denis Suarez was on the cusp of greatness. I wonder what circumstance sent him to Barca.

Why did mcd's have to change the milk sachets?

A simple milk cup was great, peel it off and dunk it in now we've got a tomato sauce like sachets and my fucking table is covered in semi skinned milk.

I like to make bold claims that will take years to be proved true or otherwise. If I'm right, I boast about my perspicacity. If I'm not, everyone will have forgotten anyway :p

It's magic.

I played a mixed game on Tuesday night. Against a family. Husband, wife, children.

We fucking demolished them. Like Bayern against Moyes Boys.

Felt positively cruel.

Whenever we play, we end up with a team with 2 good players who get picked early as they're technically better than the rest of us, but can't be arsed to defend properly or pass unless its the last resort, and shoot endlessly

Luckily I was playing against them yesterday, and we molested them like 20-9

The best player is not always the best player, unless there's a real gulf in ability

City youth team is shit. I saw them get swept aside by CSKA. And dudes like Rekik are a terrible example. How bout youth products that City themselves actually produced. Some nice English lads and not some foreigners they bought when they were already in their late teens.

Every Liverpool fan, heck every fan of strong teams, seems to say the same thing before every match, regardless of how they've smashed every team beforehand. It's not nearly as bad with Liverpool as it is with Bayern of Juventus, but still, some fans really ought to be more upbeat sometimes.

Even with Southampton being a decent threat, there is still the fact that in the previous match, Southampton won 1-0 thanks to a set-piece goal, Liverpool played 4 Cbs at the back and had Moses and Aspas in the front 3

God damn we're shite :(

And this is with Chelsea and Liverpool's teams having a host of u-21s on loan. Or in the first team.

I think QPR's role in Sterling's development is badly overlooked. They did all of the groundwork, and Rodgers gets all the credit :p

They will. Even if it's just for the PR.

Playing once does not mean success. If they're a regular in the side, that's success. Won't happen.

I'm envisioning a kind of Dickens panto scenario, where the ghost of Josh McEachran tells them to pack in their dreams while they still can.

They only need to look at the emaciated corpse of Micah Richards chained to the radiator to work it out for themselves.

I have a bit of hope for today, simply because of our strike partnership. They give us a chance in any fixture in the league imo

The Anfield match is hovering over me like a raincloud though. That's possibly the most toothless performance I've seen from us under Rodgers.

I hate every single away game tbh, even against the bottom teams in the league I'm just naturally pessimistic about most games :p

I hope we've done a hell of a lot of specified training in dealing with team-pressing all over the pitch over the course of the week. No excuse for going into any game now looking like we haven't done our homework

186 - Liverpool have fired in more shots on target than any other team this season (186). Banging.

Suarez has scored vs every current PL side except #saintsfc & they're the only side Sturridge has played more than once & not scored for #lfc

#saintsfc are the only PL team yet to win at home against a top half side this season, & #lfc only have 1 away win at a top half side. Draw?

Liverpool should just play Southampton at their own game. Don't fall into the trap of being the nominally better team and trying to control it; pressure them, sit relatively deep and counter fast. Treat it like you did the Spurs and Arsenal games.
