All award shows are garbage. Watching rich people pat themselves on the back is always wretched, but it's even worse in film because they actually take credit for solving social issues when they did nothing but pretend to be a real person with actual struggles for two hours while the director tries to teach some dumbed down life lesson that reaffirms our kindergarten teacher was right to tell us not to judge others or that family is the most important thing.

I hope van Persie continues to suck for ManU, maybe that'll change things up and he will finally perform for the national team when it matters.
Lots of young guys at the moment where a few of them got some real potential. Strootman is good, Nigel de Jong is always useful for the national team, but I do think van Gaal has created some sort of a machine, thought he will start from the France friendly finalize his selection.
But basically we're in a transition period, the younger ones need some more experience while for most of the older ones it's going to be their last tournament if they will even make it into the squad.
