Without most of their top players fit playing week in week out Liverpool would be lucky to finish 4th imho.

On top of that Steven Gerrard will be 34 this May and not only will he be playing in the World Cup this summer but then he's expected to come back and play not only every game in the league but also the Champions League as well? He won't be able to manage two games a week. So already Liverpool will have to go out and try to buy a world class central midfielder who can tackle, create AND score goals.... that's easier said then done.

Then they need a world class winger as backup/competition for Sterling, a backup playmaker for Coutinho, a world class 1st choice left back and a decent reserve keeper for Reina leaving. They would have to buy all of those players AND hope that they don't have a bad run of injuries and only then would they have a decent run in the Champions League as well as competing for the title. I just don't think it's realistic.

We don't need world class in those positions at all (yet)

We need reinforcements in a fair few positions, and first team upgrades elsewhere if possible. That's the priority, we can't become Real Madrid in one transfer window.

And a second choice keeper should be pretty easy to find if we decide Jones isn't good enough.

Sanogo, that guy plays for Arsenal... heh. Think I may have a chance to still play pro football.

Think that is my limit, giving up.

Cattermole, mannone and AJ. The rest can go as far as I'm concerned

Sounds about right, I like Ki at times but other times he is awful.

Short video game interlude, but sci-fi Civ inspired by Alpha Centauri out in 2014 by Firaxis?

FUCK YES

Whoah! Sounds amazing... would like it to be on PS4 as well, see if the trackpad could work.

To your first point I believe you are being ignorant. Liverpool are top of the league in a season that's seen them be without Suarez, Coutinho, Sturridge and Gerrard for months at a time. Yet still the system worked, players came in to supplement, and because of Rodgers coaching and the mentality of the club we continued to win.

To your second point I believe you're correct. Gerrard can't play two games a week, and he won't. He doesn't score goals from open play anymore so we don't need a replacement who does that. We've already got a deep lying replacement in Lucas to rotate with him and we'll without a doubt by a central midfielder in the summer. Lastly on this - before you say 'you won't win without Gerrard' - some of our best performances from a midfield perspective came when we had a midfield trio of Lucas, Allen and Henderson. The first two of them are now players that support our squad.

To your final point we'll buy three or four top class players this summer so it really isn't a problem. And we'll have Suso and Enrique returning.

Liverpool don't deserve to win the league this year because one owner has no God Damn business winning two titles, in two sports, in two separate counties in the same year - especially with two clubs with RED in the title. It's just wrong.

Dortmund's second team giving Bayern's first team a scare. This isn't Augsburg beating a team with Igloo Boguangy or whoever played for Bayern last week. Based Klopp.

Would love to have seen Dortmund with their entire team injury free this season.

They would have dumped out R. Madrid on Tuesday, that's for sure.
