I love Speilbergs movies and I think he is a demigod. War Horse is the best movie in 2011 and Super 8 and Tintin in top 10.
Come at me, Footy-Gaf...

just popping in (at the end of the season, no less) to say hai. arsenal fan, though haven't been following the season too closely due to being buried in coursework for the year
and starting the season off with the 8-2 wasn't particularly nice either
- hopefully sticking around for the euros though! I really really hope the m'vila rumor is true - that physical bite is exactly what our midfield needs and (knocking on wood) with wilshere back, we should have a pretty strong midfield (with some semblance of depth, no less!). then again, we were apparently this close to signing mata before the cheap fucks couldn't scrounge the cash together before cesc left and his release clause expired. ugh.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy > Drive > Fast Five

YEAH MOTHERFUCKER

drive > dragon tattoo (fincher version or bust!) > fast five > tinker tailor soldier spy >>>>>>>> the artist. fuck the oscars!

I really don't understand why people like Fast Five. and yes AI as the movie of forever
post 1940

The candle is held by Gone with the Wind for me.

Haven't seen the Artist, but I think I'd really like that movie.
It is amazing. it is funny and witty. emotional but doesn't forces you to be to attched like many drama movies do.

I guess I could google it, but when's the title-deciding turkish derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce taking place? Should be amazing.

Kozak and Facism are our Turkish-GAF representatives here.

Jesus. Mine was originally -ARNIE- back in 2007. I played a lot of counterstrike so I thought the dashes added personality, as did the all caps. I quickly rectified my error when I realised I looked a tool.

But still, at least the train of thought is there for all to see with mine; '3ur4zn' sounds like the passcode to Wilbury's porn cave.

It looks beautiful but it's so overwhelmingly boring I ignore all of it. Didn't really like Titanic but wouldn't say I hated it. True Lies is okay. He's just a slightly better Michael Bay nowadays, days of The Terminator are long gone

Aliens was good love that film, no equal to its predecessor but a good film on it's own.

Raiders is his best by far.

Correct

AI as movie of the forever? :lol

It's so poor

HIIIIII Stick around next year, we promise we won't beat you 8-2 again! Also fuck the Oscars

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo > Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

Nah, but good film

Gone With The Wind is very good ja. My favourite film pre 1940 is Buster Keaton's Sherlock Jr. SO AWESOME

Haven't seen the Artist, but I think I'd really like that movie.

It's pretty good, but nothing special. Just rips off Sunset Boulevard/Singing In The Rain

Stromsgodet is leading the tippelegaen now with a point ahead of Rosenborg. I guess they can't win without offside goals.

Piss off Rosenborg!

Time to get geared up and get to ewood to take my seat for the last time

Hope for embarassment

See you on the other side GAF

Wigan could use one more point to essentially guarantee safety. But if you guys can thrash them tonight and Chelsea next week, while Bolton and QPR get throttled -- and relegated -- I'm okay with that.

(If Wigan do need the point, they can get it from Wolves next week.)

What was the other site, that was similar to SoccerTriads? I realized that I need to purchase a Spain kit for the girlfriend since that will be who she supports for the Euwos. Since SoccerTriads took so damn long to come, I figured I would try the alternative.

Also, which kit should I get, the blue one is so sex. I'm trying my hardest to get her to latch onto this sport. lol. She spent a year in Madrid in 2010-11, right after the WC, so I got her a Real Madrid home kit then, and this is the perfect time to continue the influence. I wish she wasn't so damn attached to Spain though.

Has there ever been a final game of the English top league before in which the winner wins the league/escapes relegation and the loser gets comes second/gets relegated?

Drive was a major case of style over substance for me. Still very good, but not movie of the year. Last year was a pretty rubbish year for film really.

Ehh, Jaws or close encounters for me. But, ever since Schindler's list, Spielberg's fallen off in a big way. That's the last great Spielberg film for me.

Alien is my fave Scott film, even ahead of Blade Runner. sooo good.

I haven't seen all of Schindler's List. Whoops. Will one day.

But Raiders and Close Encounters are great. Nuff love for Temple Of Doom as well. Just a shame he's done nothing great for years (Lincoln should be good though)

You must watch Conspiracy (about the Wannsee conference) the whole film is on youtube. A gaffer linked to it in the "Classical music in a film" thread I was floored with how good it was and seeing as you like Tinker Tailor it'll be right up your street. BBC Miniseries was still better though. Alec Guinness trumps Oldman for me.

Why not. I love the red vibrant colour and the stitching and the quality of the material is quite good.

Also. Betdner is the best striker in the world, you can't go wrong with that, can you?

While I have nothing wrong with Denmark, I already got the kit I'll be wearing for the Euwos. This is for the girlfriend who has already decided to support Spain, dating back to pre-WC times.

Still waiting for the SoccerTriads alternative.

I've got the miniseries on DVD, watched the first half before the film came out and it was brilliant, but never got round to the second half. Guinness is wonderful though, correct.

Conspiracy? A Spielberg thing?

Pulp Fiction is the best film ever you heathens.

Saving Private Ryan is the best Spielberg film as well, just edges out Schindler's List. The last 30-45 mins are so powerful I genuinely find it hard to watch.

Pulp Fiction is great, but Inglourious Basterds is better. Only marginally though, wouldn't cry if someone disagreed. Saving Private Ryan is pretty good though I've cooled on it in recent years.

My favourite movie is The Shining
