advantage is a decision you must pretty much make right away and if you make it you cannot reverse it

its not rugby and that is clearly in the instructions to referees from FIFA

this is correct. As soon as the referee calls advantage it is not reversible. This is not like rugby where you stick your hand out and run 40 metres then go back because someone knocked on.
