In my FM save, AVB now has managerial duties of Newcastle after their owner fired Pardew. Lol
That 8-0 thrashing by my Man U team prolly didn't help at all. Haha

So guys, I read that FHM magazine today. The one with Olivia on the cover. I was suprised to find out Olivia Wilde flew to prague to audition for Casino Royale, she read for the part of Vesper Lynd and she did not get it, apparently it took her a while to get over not getting it. Never knew that. The reason I post is because the troll in my avatar got the part, and if I am honest she was decent in that movie. Not sure olivia could have pulled that off.
Suprised chelsea pulled it off, happy for fady. Wont be happy for fady when we draw them in the next round and they boo iniesta in stamford bridge.
GAF has been fucked for me since the Derby for some reason but seems ok now.
Anyway well done to Chelsea for last night. Despite the awful plastic flags making another appearance I was glad you beat Napoli purely because of my own personal experience with their fans when they visited Liverpool last year (Spitting at people, Harassing young women ect).
Drogba looked back to his menacing and diving best and he is unplayable when he's in that kind of mood. Also one of the first times I have been impressed by David Luiz both defensively and offensively. Should be interesting who you come up against in the next round but if Madrid or Barcelona come out of the hat then it will be curtains (No shit sherlock).
As for the derby - So glad we won that game and a few of the players needed that kind of performance to get us back on track. Hope Kenny carries on with the Carroll/Suarez partnership because it looked threatening. Fans have been asking for our players to bust a gut to support Suarez in the box and look what happens when we do. He's never going to be a central striker so we need to deploy him in the same role he played/plays for both Ajax and Uruguay and we will start reaping the rewards from his excellent play.
What stats should I be focusing on if I'm trying to create a team that plays like Swansea? i.e., lots of possession, two ball playing midfielders. I tried to focus on passing, creativity, off the ball, and first touch, and I found some decent players. But the team is garbage and were like 12th in league 1.

Its not really about stats but team instructions and formation.
I like running a 4-5-1 with or 4-2-3-1 deep with supporting fullbacks or ball playing defenders when trying to retain possession. In your team instructions; slow pace, and short passes. It works for me but I like changing them up depending on who I want to play in my squad.
Works for Mourinho, and it seems to be working for ManCity too(isnt it?)
Keep Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Yaya, Silva, Aguero, Balotelli, buy a few more, sell some and I think City will do much much better in the CL.
Im not rooting for City, but I am against Man United winning it again(and again and again) so I guess that kinda means I have to go for City.
I still can't believe it. I can't see us making it beyond the quarter-finals, at least if we face Madrid, Bayern, or my other love, Barca. It could get humiliating :0 I hope we fight till the end, like Arsenal did, who deserve nothing but respect for the spirit they have shown in the past few weeks.
The funny thing is the team has played at their best since AVB left. I can't imagine this wonderful situation to last for long - we have City at Etihad, Arsenal at the Emirates, we host Tottenham, and we will have a deadly QF Champions League game, no doubt.
But the thing is there is a difference so far.
Check this, three games without AVB and it went like this:
Against Birmingham, the first leg took place at STAMFORD BRIDGE under AVB, where Chelsea played in a very dull manner, and Sturridge helped us come back to EQUALIZE.
Under RDM, we played far better even though it was an away game, kept our first clean sheet in ages, and scored 2 nice goals alongside missing a penalty and a sitter - the combination of these things under AVB has not happened in a long time.
We then played a tough Stoke team, and while they were down to 10 men for 80% of the game, the attacks were far better, the formation was more interesting and effective, another clean sheet for the team, and a beautiful goal. We also hit the post 3 times for a change and got very dangerous.
Lastly, we had to play an in-form Napoli who came from an excellent league game (winning 6-3) and an excellent advantage of 3-1 from the first leg against Chelsea. Mind you this is the team that Bayern Munich beat by one goal (3-2) at home and Man City (as much as I admire them) only managed to draw them at home.
Maybe it really was the players not trying their hardest for the now-former manager, but you have to admire the changes since AVB has left, pretty incredible stuff..
Great win for Chelsea. Really entertaining match and credit to both teams for going for it. Gonna miss napolis attacking play in the rest of the competition, particularly lavezzi, think he's class. But fair play to Chelsea, they went for it, got a bit of luck and tool their chances.
I felt we got unlucky a bit in some parts to be honest, for instance - the penalty given to the team was because of a handball by a Napoli player who already had a yellow card and yet was not carded again, plus there was a definite penalty for Drogba that was not given, though he did dive, karma I guess
It would an indescribable feeling. I'd rather someone else knock either them of out than either of them. Realistically, I can't see Chelsea making it to the semis...as for Barca, I'd go nuts with happiness if they manage to beat Madrid or Bayern to the trophy. Madrid is too good though, and Bayern are monstrous. It'll be insane.

Good post Shogun : ] Congrats on the derby, Gerrard hat trick, all three were beautiful.
BTW LIVERPOOL FANS is it just me or did I change Liverpool's fate ever since I bumped into Gerrard? He has been in good form, no injuries, their first silverware in over half a decade, the first liverpool hat trick in ages?
You're mean lightning : [ On the other hand hats off to your club for pulling one amazing performance after another after that horrible loss to AC Milan. Beating Milan 3-0, thrashing Tottenham from 2 goals down to 5 up, and being the only club to beat Liverpool at Anfield all season, and a dramatic win at the final few minutes of extra time against Newcastle - very admirable.
Can we have the top 5 clubs qualify for CL football instead please :'(
You're too kind dc <3 Tevez may feature against Chelsea, should be interesting. Again, if you beat us I hope you push all the way for the title! Apparently the lads are nuts about ME3, saying it is superior to the already incredible ME2.
The NextGen Series, the exciting European competition showcasing footballs finest young stars, has today confirmed Chelsea FC has signed up to the tournament for the next three years.
Chelsea is the first new Club to be announced, with seven more clubs set to sign up in the coming weeks as the tournament expands from 16 to 24 teams.
So the DFL (Bundesliga) seems to be thinking about doing the playing shedule in a different way starting 2013/14. After the first half of the season, they want to make the shedule "more interesting".
That could mean that they would put the championship candidates playing each other at the end of the season. Same for relegation candidates and international places candidates.
I don't really like that idea to be honest. Almost feels like play off matches which I really hate. It would only need one important player to be injured or one bad run to possibly get relegated or lose the championship. I think they should stay with what we've got now, there's nothing wrong with it. And it's not like you can make the championship fight more interesting with this when someone's 12 points or something ahead before the last 4 matches...
I was a bit puzzled by that. I know FCN declined the offer but FCM and BIF are both known to have better academies. We probably just a have bad rep compared to Copenhagen.
