Good to see City winning, Madrid drawing. Should keep things spicy for the rest of the season.

That Mortal Kombat 'shop was evil!

So, GAF being down yesterday...crazy? What were the reasons why?

Also, directed mainly at Clegg and Wilbury: The Black Keys were amazing. All of my worries about the concert were needless, and next time I see them I will absolutely be paying any price I must to get onto the floor. Also, I like their new album a lot more after seeing them perform those songs live. They started off with a few hits then went into a lot of their older music. About 45 minutes in they started playing some of their new album, and then finished off the initial show with Tighten Up and Lonely Boy. They played a 3-song encore which was the best part of the show. Auerbach knows how to fucking rock out and it is amazing to watch him play the guitar. Like I said, I will definitely be getting general admission tickets the next time I see them. My only complaint is that I don't think they played up the fact that it was a hometown show enough, but that's a minor gripe, and everything I've read suggests that they wouldn't anyways.

Awesome :D Seeing them at Leeds festival in August, can't wait now!

That goal was never offside.

Aye, and another referee decission went to Arsenal against us. It happens every bloody time. I really hate Arsenal!!!!

On top of that Wenger moans every single time against any decission that doesn't go his favour. I am surprised he didn't moan this time around.

Screw you Arsenal. and Screw Moyes for never beating them. Dat 10 years!
Arsenal is too awesome for us :(

Yeah, the linesman made a massive mistake. Fair play to Arsenal though, since the NLD it's as if some Freaky Friday shit has happened, now Spurs are the ones who can't defend a set piece or break down a stubborn defence and Arsenal are the ones grinding out results.

I really want to know why Moyes loses against Wenger mentally. We have beaten Every big side for the past 5 yeras. And convincingly so, but when it come s to Arsenal, we just fail miserablly.

What does Wenger have on Moyes? a blackmailing scheme?

Bundesliga : if Bayern and Dortmund make it to top 4 at the end of the season, which they will, then the club which will finish 7th will also enter the Europa League.

I still can't grasp yesterday's performance from Nasri. How the hell did he do that?

He looked completely different out there. So good. No doubt he'll return to his shitty self, but I can't understand how he could do all that so suddenly, out of nowhere.

He had confidence, fighting spirit, work rate, great dribbling and FORWARD PASSES. Everything you could ask for and everything he usually isn't.

Think you were drained from the FA cup game and your recent games against the top league teams show you had more then enough for us

Other then the first 20 mins of the game, it was very even and could of gone either way. You should of had a goal but then we should of had a penalty in 2nd half, so evens out nicely

I have a weird soft spot for Everton since I had a great FM game with them. Whereas I can't stand Liverpool

Yeah, it was OK game, where we had excuses (but I hate excuses). I am just talking about the previous games as well. How many times have we beaten Arsenal in last 10 years or so? I only remember once. That is poor record to have against a team.

Arsenal have improved and I kind of think the 3rd spot is a guarntee as this point. Good luck Arsenal, you gusy deserve everythng good
I still hate you :/

Junior Hoilett set for free transfer to Bayern Munich

new source:

Kean warns Hoilett: Leave us and you risk life on bench

Junior Hoilett has been warned by Steve Kean that if he leaves Blackburn this summer he may not be as a big a star at another club.

Hoilett is set to quit Rovers when his contract expires in June and is being tracked by a host of clubs, including Arsenal, Newcastle and Bayern Munich.

The Canadian forward is an automatic choice under Kean because of his red-hot form and the Blackburn boss has told him he may not be a regular elsewhere.

"If someone is out of contract and is playing the way he's playing, there's going to be teams interested," said Kean.

"We want him to stay here because he's playing out of his skin. Would he play week in week out if he went to another club? I don't know.

"We hope that we can get ourselves into a position of safety and then make him an offer."

lol, gladbach fans. fuck them. one good season and they think they can act like the big boys? without favre they would be in league 2.
lol what kind of reasoning is that? here let me have a try: without bayerns endless money supply they'd be in league 2.

besides gladbach is traditionally one of the big boys. they won the league 5 times and were bayerns biggest rival at a time. they rank number 6 on the all-time bundesliga table and this season they beat you guys 2 times. deal with it.

OT : I really didn't know where I could post those links, I assume Footie-GAF is the best place.

I found on Youtube some sound compilation of Lexington Steele ! Yes, the male porn actor. His grunts when he climaxes are so epic they send shiver down your spine, asking yourself if this man is experiencing feasting or if he is suffering hell on earth. Hilarious compilation in both links :

Bla is right, Gladbach were on the verge on being relegated last year when Eberle got Favre and the club miraculously saved itself by beating Bochum in the relegation games.

Gladbach was big before but since Effenberg's departure for Bayern in 1998, they are a mere shadow of anything related to their glorious days. Think Nottingham Forest.
Both clubs were big in the 70's but have been relegated to the closet since then.

Yes, they were almost relegated last year. But thats last year. They can act whoever they want when they have beaten Bayern twice with the fraction of the money. Can't see us complaining about Man City even though they were only 5th 2 years back.

This year, Gladbach were title contenders. Deal with it, Bayern fans!

Meh, faridmon, you're in good shape today :p
Gladbach have not qualified for any European competition in the last 17 years and have fallen from their "big Team" throne, going down twice in between. Thus Blaburn is right : Favre saved them. For that you have to agree with him.

And for the rest also, since that's everything he said :p

And I prefer Gladbach 'cause I like underdogs who bite the master. So no Bayern fan in the purest sense, sorry !

About Gladbach :

It's not the first time that a team that barely escaped relegation the season before becomes a title contender in the current one.
In 1986, Borussia Dortmund barely managed to say in the top division and ended up 4th one year later.

Fair enough. But I hate this attitude of looking down upon an opponent just because they are not big and Bayern fans do that a lot. My comment was not directed at you (or any of the Bayern-Gaf people) but it just irks me when someone just undermines a success of a club just because they can't have that success.

We have been in Gladbachs shoes few years back :(

I know! Fucking appalling grammar.
Even I, of all people, am appalled by this tweet which says a lot.

Why use that example when you can use Kaiserslautern lol!

The meltdown in the madrid press is delicious, you'd think we went ahead of them. lol

When Gomez signs his new contract, Bayern pays about as much wages to Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Robben and Gomez as Dortmund does to the whole team.

So, I know I'm nothing but inactive on here, but I was hoping to get a critique or two on this article I just wrote, and to an extent, the other articles I wrote on this blog me and my flatmates have put together. We've had a bit of success on a small scale thus far, especially some of the articles on Ken Bates.

The English Game: Conservatism, Rigidity and Failure

I'm the guy who had some stuff in the Guardian in the summer, so hopefully it is of a decent enough standard. The article linked is on the failings of the English game to innovate and the tactical rigidness on it. The other stuff I've written tends to be along the lines of the business side of football and sometimes on the game itself. Hopefully this isn't construed as spam, would genuinely enjoy feedback.
