After last nights meltdown I pretty much think Liverpool and their fans deserve each other. I enjoy watching them in their 100 million(YES 100) misery

Ugh, I'm serious. Liverpool wanted to buy him for 10 mil in the summer of 2010.

Also, Zlatan himself says he's great.
Zlatan would like anybody who works hard to become just like him. It just empowers his ego.
But I do think too, that Ola is a good player, I would also see him in Liverpool or playing a role a la Tore André Flo in Chelsea.

I just found out that it's a good thing. If we played in the quarter finals instead of Marseille, there would have been Dortmund - Bayern matches every Tuesday/Wednesday for 3 weeks. That would have been too much for Bayern :D

APOEL would have eliminated you guys in the previous round anyway.

I think we are safe from relegation, this season...

While an EredivisieGAFfer is here, What are your thoughts on AZ's Brett Holman?
Watched the first half of the AZ - Heracles game and Holman seems like a decent player. He had some good runs, piercing through the defense but when he's in front of the goal he seems a little indecisive. If he'd shoot more often then he'd be far more dangerous.

I hope I see Mancini celebrate like this again in a matter of weeks.

You can see both him and Platt really are living it in these days. Mancini doesn't show much emotions when he's angry á la Sven, but when he's really glad he really shows it.

quite a big talk for someone who finished 4th in a pretty managable group ;)

but you're probably right it wouldn't be nice for either team if we faced each other that much

Looking forward to seeing what Tello does in the summer. I know he's almost certainly going to stay with Barca, but he's a real talent and I'd hope we would get to see him playing more, whatever team he ends up at.

Edit: good to see you Sunhi :)

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Spurs have taken 121 corners since they last scored from a corner situation. That is shockingly bad. I have no doubt that a team like United, City or even Chelsea would have scored from one of the 13 corners we had yesterday. Only 5 beat the first man for fuck's sake. How can players like Van Der Vaart and Modric be so shit at dead balls? I say we let Bale and Assou-Ekotto take every set-piece for the rest of the season.

Some players are fantastic passers but pretty bad on long (high) crosses. Silva is one of them, he's usually replaced from corner taking. He had two horrible ones yesterday that didn't beat first man.

The thing is that Bale is excellent at dead balls, when we got him from Southampton he was known as a set-piece specialist. For some reason VDV is the default taker even though he is utter shit and Modric is just as bad. I don't know why Redknapp doesn't just tell them not to take them. It's embarrassing.

You were missed. Did you enjoy the games? 6 Point lead is still a lot though.

Only watched the Barca match in full. Nice to see Messi break the record at home. They have definetly stepped up their game in the league, there was a period a few weeks ago where they looked like they had given up. I'm not holding my breath but I can't help but get excited at the prospect of going for the treble again. I know 6 points is alot, but 3 of them points are in Barca's hand as they have yet to play Madrid at home.

However if I had a choice I'd rather they win the CL then the Copa and the League.

I expect gifs of Wrestlemania on April 1.

Haven't followed wrestling since the attitude era, although I will be watching if only to see The Rock back headlining Wrestlemania.

Sunhi you bastard, you abandoned us! I had to actually watch Match Of The Day.

Don't worry this time I'm back for good.

Welcome back, Sunhi! To celebrate, we need Hannover vs. Bayern gifs this weekend :p

;)

True, CL is the last trophy of the season and the biggest. Get the last laugh :p
Biggest chance though is CL + Copa. La Liga is still too far imo.
Even if we beat Madrid, they need to lose 1 game or draw 2 more while we win every one of our games. Doesn't hurt to be hopeful though lol.

And yeah was great to see Messi break the record, the guy is just amazing. You just run out of stuff to say lol. Incredible.

This is a fucking superb piece by Marina Hyde on the Guardian.

Marina Hyde said:
Yet you can scarcely move for those seeking to emphasise, in ever more impressed tones, how well everyone's done. By doing so they presumably seek to turn a young man's shocking and life-threatening misfortune into something of which we can all be proud. That is questionable enough – and by implication casts football as a place where humane norms disappeared long ago. Looked at another way, this has been quite the opposite of a noble week for football.

VDV isn't too bad at free kicks, Modric is shit at them, and neither of them are great at corners. We're shit at attacking them though. And at defending them.

Ronaldo yelling Solo Robar! at the end of the Villareal game. Pretty much saying they were just robbed lol. What the hell.

Some reports saying that the Madrid players went into Villareals locker room and tried to fight, cr7 took off his shirt lol. This is all according to Elperiodico. Don't know if it's true but it is funny.

I am looking forward to the next round of La Liga games. Madrid will either crumble or annihilate Sociedad.

How dare people try and look for positives, eh.

It's the connotations of these 'positives' that irk me, and the writer. That we should pat ourselves on the back for showing compassion to a young man having a heart attack. It is our obligation as human beings to be compassionate in this situation, and not something we leave at the turnstile when we enter a football ground.

I don't necessarily agree with the minutes of applause because it seems more fitting for someone that's died, but I think the reaction of everyone at White Hart Lane that night and the hospital should be proud of themselves.

I remember badly dislocating my knee at indoor and asking for the ice.

Someone came back with a plastic bag of tapwater.
