Nothing, international break has started. World Cup qualifiers are on friday though.
What a shame, is always nice to experience football "live". Maybe you can go to a US national team match if they play nearby

Well diving isnt going to give anyone a career threatening injury anytime soon so Im going with violent conduct.

I think diving is worse because it gives football a bad name in countries where the sport isnt as big. The football federations should review matches and implement punishment retroactiively. Depending on the offense there should be fines and/or suspensions. This way it will affect the players money but also the club.

I was listening to football weekly and was disgusted to hear the pundits claim Suarez is the "villain of the premier league." The man who stood on his chest wasn't mentioned. Neither was Fellaini, who every week, without fail, "accidentally" elbows another player in the face in an aerial challenge. Neither Huth, nor Fellaini are villains. It's Suarez, for flopping on the ground in a super-delayed reaction to being clipped in the box.
Tony Pulis sends Crouch and Walters out to foul and hurt other players. His captain broke the leg of another player in a terrible challenge, and he legitimately tried to play Shawcross as the victim, saying how he was in tears and had to be driven home by his family member (poor boy having come away from the game with both legs in tact).
You want to talk villains? Clearly the guy who goes down easily is the worst of them all.

I think it ironically boils down to racism. Racism against certain peoples is tolerated whereas discrimination against people of african descent is seen as inhumane.
I know in America you can mock hispanics, asians, and Indians but if you say something about black people you get eviscerated by the media.
I understand thei struggle has been the worst in modern times but it is just hypocrisy and 'white guilt'
The suspension Luis got last season infuriated me and I was even more mad after seeing the john terry debacle. Oh well he is a great Englishman lets just excommuinicate him from the National Team. Also see those bullsit UEFA fines in the Euros.

Punishment post game wouldn't be that great if you think about it.
If Barca are playing Real Madrid, Di Maria diving to win a penalty(which wins the game) then being suspended for the next game against Zaragoza is not going to matter to Madrid or Di Maria.
Or if A.Young dives in the 2014 wc final for England to win it, he won't be all "Oh noes I am suspended for our 2018 qualifier!"
Of course this will never happen though as England getting to the final is a joke.
Seriously though it is a very hard thing to fix, it just is.

Yeah, I have beef with Fellaini. I think he's unquestionably a very gifted lad, but he's a nasty player.
Commentators (and refs) give him too much leeway because of his size. Countless times you hear "Fellaini shrugs him off" or "Fellaini's sheer power", when what he's actually done is barged/shoved/elbowed a bloke.
This is Footy-GAF. We have lower standards than the rest of GAF. I posted it for the 'Germany' banner anyway. It's all Blablurn needs to get him going.
