It really is. One of my favorite game's this gen.. think I got it for $5 from the MS Store. What a killer deal -- just an absolute blast to play. And I've never played a Gears of War title other than a few rounds of Gears 3 MP beta so it's not like I'm just an Epic fanboy or something.
