I dunno Will, City looked like a band of players who only cared about their paycheck last season.

They've got a better manager, but I'm not wholly convinced yet.

That's why you buy players after you've won the title. The new players haven't tasted glory yet, and they're hunger forces their teammates to step it up or risk being put on the bench.

They have a couple of new signings that are motivated.

One of things that made Fergie so great was motivating his team year after year.

Yeah, my statement was as it stands. To be fair there is still a lot of time in the window so who knows what could happen. But as it stands, you won't finish above City.

On paper, maybe. But City will definitely be the one to threaten United retaining the title, not Chelsea. Pellegrini and the players he's brought in are understated quality; they have squad depth with reliable players now. The question is whether the stability Fergie has built can translate under Moyes.

Hahahaha.

Oh my gosh, what were the AC defence doing there...that Viagra guy is shit.

4-0, bloody hell. Reminds me of when City merked Spurs 5-0 or whatever at WHL the year they won the title.

Does the horse die?

He seemed pretty good for Everton. He scored a nice goal against United if I remember correctly.

lol. Highlights video. 2 phases of play where he fucks about on the ball and ends up taking it backwards having run himself into a corner, and a goal

I want to believe

Never liked PES. FIFA bro from start till end.

Do one.

PES was easily #1 in the mid 00's with hardly any licenses.

That's when FIFA was really really shit.

Still is

There is one thing that I wanted from FIFA when I was a kid:

Why did they remove that?

It made freekicks ridiculously easy if you had any experience with the kind of game where you have to stop the icon when its swinging along a bar. It was a good idea, and it was fun, but it needed to be adjusted. In typical EA style though, they threw the baby out with the bathwater

Roy Hodgson appointed England under-21s manager ... for one game vs Scotland on Aug 13

Oh God. They're letting him have a go at all our 'talent' too.

Christ almighty. These Scotland games are going to go down in history as the worst matches of all time.

Neygod wants some action

He's already going to get on Messi's wrong side doing things like that.

Ushojax

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

Ah yes, the day Harry played a zoned-out Modric and Kranjcar as a two man midfield. Genius.

Edit: lol City

I think it was Carlos Tevez who said that City were obsessed with overtaking United.

You're completely right about new blood being needed each summer to keep things moving though, and City's well documented disastrous summer certainly damaged them. How Ferguson made the same players care year in year out was perhaps his greatest strength.

So while Man United struggling to beat teams from Timbuktu, City are out smashing European giants.

Or are we about to see City capitulate? Some amazing defending from both teams

Whole City's defense is backup. Clichy-Kompany-Nastasic-Zabaleta is primary. Pellegrini seems to try and get Javi Garcia working somewhere.

City are really going to miss Nastasic and Javi Garcia continues to prove himself useless from the sounds of things.

Could be a difficult start to the season.
