I agree with getting Luiz and Ramires sold, as much as I love Luiz he is too much of a liability and just hasn't progressed is trying to fix that side of his game, also we can probably still get some good cash for him.

Not totally convinced by Costa but compared to what options we currently have I wouldn't say no. As for Shaw, would love him but not if he is going to cost £30mil.

Sherwood beat Martinez too. I hate the way he sets up his midfield but he's secured a decent number of points since he got the job.

There was a point at the beginning of the season where we were tied first, there were points where we were in the top4 as well. The points kind of flattered us, because we never really convinced in games against teams we really should have been beating. When it came up against a genuinely strong team it really showed and we got swept aside.

Equaling our record points tally seems disingenuous considering how we've actually played this season. Even Newcastle and Sunderland (our biggest wins), were shaky performances covered by a few goals.

2. Still hasn't won the cup as a manger (and there by also still hasn't won the national double)
3. Never won the league with a decent amount of points and good GD, Jol beats him by miles
4. Still haven't advanced trough the next round in the CL. And our EL performances have been dire every season.

Plenty of goals to chase yet. And for the first one alone it's worth it to stay at least one more season.

On top of that his daughters go to school here, his wife has her own shop that's going well and he always said family goes before anyting. He's living a comfortable life here.

Considering the right coaching he should receive, there's no reason not to believe he'll become better and be fully worth that 30m and more.
