Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is a standardized, lossy compression and encoding scheme for digital audio. Designed to be the successor of the MP3 format, AAC generally achieves better sound quality than MP3 at similar bit rates.[2]

It's the successor to mp3.

I haven't seen Memento in 10 years or so but I fucking loved it at the time. I've never seen Enter the Void. Is it on Netflix?

Mm. He's got it in him to make something incredible. I really like his first two Batmans, insomnia is criminally underrated and memento is great. But he's still young. Interstellar looks like something I'll really enjoy.

Only thing of his that really hit the mark for me is Memento, followed by the The Prestige which has some parts which cheapen it.

Feel like all his other movies promise a lot more than they substantively deliver.

what

oh yeah, you're the weirdo who thinks Batman Begins is the best.

I don't think that's amazing either

Prestige is an 8/10 movie, so is batman begins. I really like both of them. But I think Nolan has it in him to make something absolutely brilliant, and would like to see that one day.

I though The Dark Knight was an ok film raised to greatness by Ledger's Joker, and Inception was good, but still had some dumb moments and of course the no ending which didn't leave me that satisfied.

Eh guess I just enjoy Nolan's films way more than you folks.

Would rather see the Nolan's worst film (TDKR imo) a hundred times than most other "big" films. Nolan might not deliver, but at least he creates expensive films with a bit of brain substance. Not pretend to like Captain America TWS and other such bilge

I thought Inception was fan fucking tastic initially but it does get worse on each rewatch. Kinda like Looper. More you think about it the worse it is but the first time I saw both tis a great ride.

I think I liked The Prestige even more than TDK.

The Prestige > TDK > TDKR > Inception > BB > Memento

Yeah, I agree with you. That's why Memento was such a letdown for me now

I think Eckhart and Oldman are both just as good as ledger in TDK, all three are brilliant. And there's some great sequences; the opening, the ending with Dent and especially the interrogation sequence.

Inception is an hour of exposition than becomes so awful to sit through on repeat viewings. Still some brilliant moments in it though, the conceit is fantastic (but should have gone further with the inventiveness of dreams and shit) and I really like it when shit actually starts going down and all the levels start converging on each other. Rotating corridor fight is baller as fuck

Now that I recall I was the first one to break the news that Arsenal were going after Ballotelli. Feels good man. My Brazilian sources never fail.

Speaking of films, saw The Bourne Legacy the other day

fucking why

Utter bilge

It's not that bad. The opening sequence with the drone is incredible, the sequence in the lab is genuinely unnerving and the battle in the house is also well done. The third act is definitely what lets it down (the final chase uses far too much shaky cam), and the plot doesn't really go anywhere. Plus, the decision to add chems as a plot device is a dubious one. The Bourne Legacy is a decent film, not on the level of the other Bourne films obviously, but not worthy of being completely dismissed either (I suspect many went in with the premise that no Greengrass and no Damon = bad). It delivers on a visceral level, even if it doesn't on a cerebral one.

It's an adequate action film, the opening segment is top aye

But it's not a good Bourne film.

That movie was TRASH. THE FILM WAS UTTER RUBISH.

The Bourne Legacy was a good action film, but there really was no need to call it a Bourne film other than the obvious reason of making sure people watched it.

Actually thought it was a strange movie where the action scenes were really good (build up, framing, tempo) but the rest of the movie was rubbish. Also Weisz is so emaciated I didn't realise it was her for most of the movie.

Decided to watch 'Orange is the new black' a few days ago. Started off well, at episode 9 now and my interest is waining. Will probably drop it.

I liked OitNB's first season, but if you're not feeling it, then don't keep it up because it really doesn't change.
