Lol Del Bosque starting Alonso, may as well start Xavi too then as their last game before international retirement. Based Kuyt in the squad, goal for sure.

Jonathan Northcroft has absolutely nailed it regarding England. We're going to continue to regress until we stop conceding control by playing 2 in the middle. We've wasted so many quality midfielders like Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard, by shackling them to archaic systems in order to fight unwinnable battles.

We have enough problems at grassroots level without fucking up the ones with quality we were lucky enough to get through the system unscathed. It's why anyone who thinks Hodgson needs to stay is deluded. He'll still be playing 4-2-4 or some variation in the next Euro's, and horribly exposing the players.

For all my raging at him at the time, I actually feel quite sorry for Rooney in hindsight, he's been as badly let down as anyone when it comes to being mismanaged. As ever though, it's the players fault.

2 in the middle can work if the '10' can drop back and join in. You ain't gunna get that with Rooney.

Midfield three with Scholes, Lampard and Gerrard could have ruled the WORLD

In most systems these days, the 10 is probably more midfielder than forward if that makes sense. You also need the 2 to be high energy players, and Gerrard is not that player at all.

Hence, Rooney ahead of Hendo and Gerrard was a disaster waiting to happen.

Absolutely; 2 can also work if you have someone with the skillset of a duo like Yaya/Fernandinho, or Atleti's middle two. But Gerrard especially just doesn't work in a middle two when he's given no protection by the likes of Rooney.

Woy as England manager was, is and will be a disaster waiting to happen. I actually hope we lose our last game.

If the FA doesn't sack him after three WC loses then something fishy is going on.

Don't think someone like Rodgers is the answer though; whoever said yesterday or the day before that you need a Hiddink or a Benitez for international management is right. Rodgers clearly works better over time, whereas the lack of games over a year you get with an international squad calls for tournament specialists more than anything. Honestly think Redknapp would have been a good choice pre-Euro 2012, but that ship has rightfully sailed now.

Pride is what will keep im there, they want an english manager after so many foreign over the past few world cups they feel a english manager is what should lead us forward. They would lose face if they ditched Roy and thats why they wont, PRIDE. Roy should never have been manager in the first place.

Bruv, he's untouchable. Look at his personality. He's a perfect fit for them, he'll never publicly criticise the FA, he won't make any attempt to push them to improve the coaching stuff more quickly than they can be bothered with.

The FA is made up of old cunts happy to take a paycheck to make excuses for not doing their jobs properly, and they have the very same type of person in charge of the team. It's perfect.

It's a myth that we haven't got decent players. That team would get top 4 in the PL. Italy and Uruguay haven't impressed that much in our group. We really should have progressed to the next round.

Take Chile for an example. Their CB was relegated at Cardiff, they have a starting defender who was released from Nottingham Forest as he was not good enough.

Shit tactics and poor management have cost us.

We are the biggest underachievers of world football.

Since defence was our weakest point, and we were playing with two attacking fullbacks, we could have even played three at the back with two wing backs.

Woy is just so inflexible. On our last game, if we line up 3 in midfield or diamond, it shows that Woy can learn and see his mistakes.

When you speak about tactically inept managers who rigidly stick to archaic systems and then want Arry......

And as for Woy being inflexible (I should preface this with I think he should step away for a more "modern"-crappy term but heh manager) who would have predicted last August England would have even brought Barkley, started Sterling and taken Lallana and Shaw

Woy is better than you shit slingers give him credit for, and we played as well against Italy as we have done for god knows how long in tournament football.

Far better than the big name journymen managers you all crave

Hodgson brought all those players on the back of great work with their clubs and then failed to implement them or use them properly, instead deciding to stick to a formation that was also in and trendy. He hasn't got any ideas of his own in how to win a match.

Are you seriously saying Hodgson is a better manager than Hiddink, Benitez and Rodgers?

You've gotta remember, most of the people slating him in here are Liverpool fans.

For me, that's Hodgson's big flaw. He's playing a bunch of Liverpool players because of their club performances. He's played sterling centrally and Gerrard deep because that's what Rodgers did. But then he's probably playing 4-2-3-1 because that's what Germany and Brazil play. I don't get the notion he knows how to win a football match at this level against strong opposition, or how to come from behind, by relying on his own nous. He's just doing what he thinks will work based off other teams and shit. Look at LVG's team selection and tactics; he's using this based off his own work and ideas.

Again I'm not saying he's been that good, but the shite slinging in his direction is so cheap. A year ago we all would have been saying we would have picked Young and Cleverley. When the lineups were released I didn't see many disgruntled voices then, easy to come back now and state how annoyed we are with it.

As for the bolded i don't even know what you are on about. If you saying he hasn't got a plan B then to an extent I'd agree.

Are you seriously saying Hodgson is a better manager than Hiddink, Benitez and Rodgers?

No you fucking turkey, but we played better against Italy then under Sven and Capello - the type of bigger name journyman everybody wants.

Hodgson is an awful manager, with no idea how to win a match, even with his 37 years of management experience. Awful tactic-leh as well.

Therefore, I hope he continues to be England manager for years to come. :moonface

Good point

Any average joe could get a struggling Fulham to a European final.

RDM can take the England NT to the promised land.

RDM doing a Greece/Chelsea at the Euro's.

Flexibility is not selecting young players on form, that's just common sense.

Flexibility is also not taking a group of players and trying to shoehorn them into a 4-2-3-1/4-2-4 system. You're probably all sick of me saying it by now, but that England team was crying out for a diamond midfield, it would have solved 2 of the 3 big problems England had, but there was no way Roy was going to do that.

Regardless of what players we have in 2 years time, and what their strengths and weaknesses are, we will play the same formation and the same way, and it will be pot luck as to whether it works or not.

I need Wesley to score 50 goals to save my fantasy team. DO IT!

Way better.

Billy Bob :lol fucking fuck me what an actor :lol

[Spoilers as MASSIVE as Manchester City]
new cast for S2 sounds good to me too!

Hannibal S2 is still the best show this year. The step up in quality is unbelievable.

Need to watch Fargo apparently. Now GoT is finished there is a hole in my viewing,.. mmhmm. Falling Skies is back, great show if you feel really happy and need something to bring you down to suicidal depression.

Hannibal S2 is up there with the best, went from some shitty villain of the week to some awesome villain of the year. True Detective had a few episodes in 2014? That was a great start to the show, although less interested now they have
announced cast changes
.

Utopia S2 will top it though.
Just saw the trailer today, how the hell did he make it back?

An outsider's opinion

Your manager doesn't inspire your players

Your media doesn't help your cause

Your players are all pecho frios.
