For all the Ozil haters on here, does someone want to explain to me what Kroos does besides take corners and sometimes shoot from far away? Talk about invisible.

All thanks to the mighty Oz! Without his smooth way of playing we would have never won. Thanks Özil, and many many thanks to Neuer!

To all the h8ers, this is how you win the world cup. France shits their pants right now.
Ozil passed it because he didn't believe he would score.

It was only when he was 4 yards from the net did he think to shoot.

Even though I am the greatest Özil-fanboy alive, Kroos was the key to win the group stage. He organized everything and had a pass completion above 90%, especially without Schweinsteiger he had an immense impact on our game. Frankly today it wasn't his best game, but then again this was nobodys game apart from swagging Neuer!

Doesn't matter, still scored.

Edit: I thought the same when I saw him pass, he has no self-confidence atm thus he passed and got very lucky afterwards. As I said he still scored and this will give him a nice boost (hopefully)

Don't take it personally but I think you're the worst poster in here

Kroos doesn't fit into the system.

Both Kroos and Özil got a similar problem, they need space and freedom to get their game running.
Özil had to work twice as much on the wing with Höwedes as LB.
Kroos was forced to play defensive and get into position when Lahm/Schweinsteiger were forced to help out as LB/RB when Mustafi or Höwedes failed and Algeria had the counters going.

I respect your opinion.

Edit: I'm just trashtalking a bit. Obviously we have way different opinions on players, but you can't deny Özil was one of the best playmakers over the last four years. I guess you hate that arrogant snub Kroos because he is a greedy little bayern bitch, but he is talented and has contributed to our game just look at the game against portugal.

@pennywise: I don't understand.

Massive low-ball.

It'll be instant rejection. They need to more than double the cash on that.

Yeah.

From reading around, it sounds like LFC had nothing to do with Suarez's apology, and are annoyed that he did not apologise to the club in his letter. As the apology was obviously mandated by Barca, it's first part of how Madrid/Barca try to get the player to lower the transfer fee, by making him publicly say he is unhappy, wants a move. Thus forcing the selling club to accept less.

But I don't think it will work on us. We seem to be determined to receive the value of his buyout clause. Whether in cash, or subsidised by a player we want.

Relax. Ozil gets ottp hate here simply because he's an Arsenal player. If he played for madrid half the shit said in this thread wouldn't be said.

I don't bother reading Ozil posts anymore from anyone here aside from Arsenal fans. Waste of time.

He was quite good when he played for Madrid.

Which might have something to do with it.

Crazy how fast Kaka has gone down hill.

He was a wondrous player back in the days when itv had every CL game.
I heard he played fairly well this year for Milan. Just not at the level of an €8m a year player. I'm sure he'll be a joy for MLS fans to watch.

There must be a link between the disappearance of Jim Rosenthal and Steve Ryder from our screens and Kaka's fall from grace. Post hoc ergo propter hoc innit

Just not even close to the level he was playing years ago, still good enough to enjoy some years in the MLS.

By the way Meier, do you know Joseph-Claude Gyau ?
Dortmund just signed him and he's a former U23 player for the USA.
I got no idea how good he is, same goes for Junior Flores.

I think I will trust Löw's and Wenger's opinion of Özil rather than people who just watch him on TV. The German formation is a bit funky with that weird back 4 so he's not going to play to his full potential but his pass completion rate was good, he made chances, played 120 minutes and looked like the fittest person on the pitch and he scored a goal. Not MOTM but far from being invisible.

Hmm he actually made some excellent passes later in the game. Early in the game he was terrible, but so was everyone in the Germany squad.

Kroos played a sensational pass into Muller I think it was around the hour mark. On the stretch just nailed it into the box to feet.

Type of pass Özil used to make circa 2011-2012. Only seen him on the tele, though.

I don't know too much about Gyau. The guys in the American soccer thread mentioned that they thought this was a strange move since it sounds like Fabian Johnson's move would have opened up more chances for him next season at Hoffenheim. Junior Flores is one of our biggest talents at the U-18 level. He moved to Dortmund about a year and a half ago or so as I recall but hasn't been able to play yet officially due to some restrictions due to his age and foreign status I believe. He has been training with the team during this period. (Dortmund II obviously)

Double checked. He signed with Dortmund in October '12 -- turned 18 in March so his deal officially started then. 4 year contract. He is a very good player.

I honestly think Hugh in the first series is the best character, he's just so fucking beleaguered all the time. It's hilarious.

Shame he's a paedophile.

Did he go down for that in the end? His excuse was that he had child porn saved as research for a role or some shit iirc

Can't quite get over my dislike for Chris Addison even though Oliver is an okay character. He's just a massively annoying person, and that pervades every programme he touches
