Can't do bugger all and I'm not in the mood to go through Rockstar's nonsense. It's past 3am.

I don't know why I want to do this with Max Payne 3 anyway. I'll just play through Max Payne 1 & 2.

Max 3 is garbage. I lasted until the football stadium before giving up.

I felt like the game had shown me all it had to offer by that point and I was tried of it. I love the first two games, so I was surprised I wasn't able to push on. Max 1 and 2 are very much shooting galleries as well, but something about this recent entry just wasn't clicking for me. I don't know if it was the aiming itself, the setting or the narrative. I just couldn't deal with it.

Also, since I only paid $10 for it on PS3, it was easy for me to toss it aside.

Would anyone agree that shooting in Red Dead, even aside from the Dead Eye stuff, felt better than shooting in GTAV?

I think it varies from gun to gun. It's been awhile since I played any RDR though.

I do like the weapons they've been adding to GTA V. The one complaint I have it that it seem like the dead zone is larger than their previous games. There's no slider, so it can be a pain in the ass in free aim rooms online.

As far as guns in games go though, The Last of Us carries the most weight and impact per round fired. The gory after effect helps, but nothing feels better than catching someone peering around a corner with an arrow or revolver shot to the head in that game.

Definitely.

People kept saying Max Payne 3 had the best shooting, and after playing Red Dead I was convinced even though I didn't consider it a Max Payne game. Thought it was awful, Red Dead's was so much better and I find it really hard to explain why. I felt more in control of the shooting for some reason. Until a fucking cougar came running at me, then I managed to shoot everything else.

Need a RDR2 or prequel.
