Joao Texiera seems to have taken number 31.

Interesting.

Sterling to Madrid. Liverpool buy back Downing, Adam and Cole.

I hope so, but Liverpool's journalists seem convinced he's not made his decision and wants to hear them out. It could easily be stubbornness/pride on their part, or maybe they're totally right. I think better to assume the latter until Ornstein/fcbarcelona.es says otherwise, lol.

Iturbe looks talented and got a decent amount of goals last season considering his age and the club he played at. Probably won't be an immediate payoff, but from 15/16 and onwards he could be huge. Porto's scouts rarely get it wrong.

I think it's a good buy, Cole showed he's still got alot to offer in the second part of last season. Roma aren't really on the level Chelsea are/aspire to be (Real/Bayern-tier), so you can see why they let him go, but he's still good enough to be a starting LB in a Serie A title challenge.

Bump for the next page. You don't deserve being bottom

Fwiw, I think you will probably still get him in the end. It just seems that if this was as cut and dry as everyone was saying then the deal probably would have progressed further than it has done.

I'm a little concerned about our seeming lack of ambition in the transfer market. It was speculated we had about £60m plus player sales before Suarez went, and even if you add up the reported fees for Origi, Lallana, Lovren, Lambert, Can and Markovic, we're still probably only just breaking on that £60m plus the inevitable sales of some players (Agger, Lucas, Reina, Aspas, Assaidi etc). The Suarez money appears to be, as yet, untouched.

Would be jokes if United signed that other left back and he got the starting spot over Shaw.

In face I might just wank myself to death if that happened.

Willy Caballero is in England now so expect his move to #mcfc to be wrapped up quite quickly.

Welcome!

The Malaga chairman snapped on Twitter and Facebook yesterday, seems a bit pissed to have lost him.

Facebook:
OFFICIAL STATEMENT AS CHAIRMAN OF MÁLAGA C.F.

SUBJECT: WILLY CABALLERO

Given the different publications in press about the impending transfer of Willy Caballero to Manchester City, I state the following:

FIRST: The malagacf have debt like any other club in the Spanish League football or in the world but this does not require us to sell on to anyone, let alone to our great reference inside the club, so it is completely FALSE that me as President and therefore Malagacf want to transfer our goalkeeper Willy Caballero for economic reasons.

SECOND: It is my desire as President and therefore the desire of Malagacf that Willy Caballero not only stay with us next season but until he retires from professional football because for us he is the best goalkeeper around the world but also an extraordinary person off the field, which makes him essential in any team.

THIRD: Having said all this I want to remember to all of you all that Mr. Pellegrini last season wanted to have the services of Willy Caballero on his team but goalkeeper Willy Caballero decided to stay with us. This year, once more Mr. Pellegrini wants to have him in his team so the decision is solely in the hands of our goalkeeper.

If Willy Caballero wants to stay with us, I’ll be the first person to feel be happy, because for me would be proud to have him not only as be an active player but even when he retires to be part of staff of club to teach to all children, lessons of football, education and values because he would be a worthy representative of our colors.

If instead the decision Willy is go to another club, whatever the name of club, will be a very sad day for all of us but we must respect above all his decision and of course we should all give infinite thanks for staying all these years with us because it certainly has been a leader at all levels, as a player and as a person.

Now the FINAL DECISION is in his hands because the LAST WORD AND THE FINAL DECISION HAS WILLY CABALLERO. Whatever your decision, me and through this statement want to tell you that our desire is you stay here with us, but always you have the doors open in malagacf because this is your home.

Best regards to all,

Abdullah Bin Nasser Al Thani

A lot of journalists saying he rejected Arsenal while Barca and Monaco were interested too.
