Some weird cunts are making up rumours about phantom injuries to Belgian players.

First Fellaini had done his knee, next Benteke had suffered a double leg break.

Neither happened.

Again, weird cunts.

Rooney was shit because the only service he got was the ball getting stung at his feet from central midfield.
Welbeck was shit because he is shit
Gerrard was shit because he tries to do too much but at least he did a great assist for Welbecks free header.
Cahill was shit because he is shit
Wilshere, Lampard, Walcott and Baines were good.

Seems Martin Demichelis is being pretty heavily linked with City now. He signed a 1 year deal with Atletico after his Malaga contract expired this summer, but may come to City now (not sure what kind of transfer fee Atletico would be able to command). He's older and would be nothing but a stop gap for Nastasic -- that's the kind of signing I'd like to see rather than Pepe who would cost a fuckton and expect to start.

Demichelis ... The Bayern and Malaga Demichelis ? :lol

Might as well just use your youngsters then.

Well, we loaned Rekik out for the year and Boyata probably isn't good enough IMO. Demichelis played pretty extensively during the Champions League last year so it makes some sense.

Edit: Looks like Demichelis played under Pellegrini at River Plate as well.

Paddy Power is my new favorite company!

Despite successfully exiting administration and securing a high profile club sponsor in Paddy Power, the Football Conference are demanding a staggering £100,000 bond from Farnborough FC to allow them to compete in the 2013/2014 Conference South season, which commences this Saturday.

The extraordinary demand comes the day after Farnborough FC unveiled their new squad, where each player has changed their name by Deed Poll to a football legend. The initiative, the brainchild of club sponsor Paddy Power as part of their We Hear You campaign, has generated headlines around the globe and has been applauded as one of the most innovative sponsorships in the modern game.

The Football Conference demands seem even more bizarre when you consider that Aldershot FC, who play in the Conference Premier with considerably greater travelling costs than Farnborough FC, were allowed to exit administration and compete with no bond in place only two weeks ago! Similarly Truro City FC last season, who were still in administration at the time with no buyer on the horizon and huge travelling expenses due to their geographical location were allowed to compete under a bond of just £50,000, half of that being requested from Farnborough.

We believe the demand for a £100,000 bond from the Football Conference is disproportionate and wholly unfair, however in the interest of Farnborough FC, Paddy Power have agreed to post this bond to ensure that the greatest team in the world lines out this Saturday in Paddy Power Park.

Paddy Power said “This bullyboy tactic from the Football Conference makes them a real contender for our Ball of Shame season review. We’re always happy to support the underdog and in this case we’re only too happy to ensure the gates of Paddy Power Park remain open for the coming season. Farnborough FC fans, we hear you!”

WTF FM 2014 is going to be 50 bucks.

I think it was $40 for 2012 but Amazon had it on sale for $30 to start. Then I did the GMG pre-order for $30 as well last year to get into the beta. I'll probably just wait for a sale if it's $50 out the gate without notable sales from some provider.

I definitely noticed him in CL. That Dortmund comeback would not have been possible if he hadn't missed that header which everyone expected any half decent defender to at least hit when jumping for it like that.

I'll probably find some pre-order sale or wait for a Christmas sale.

In FM 14, they're adding some cool stuff and changing a lot. I'm excited about the tactical overhaul and the different interactions.

Improved Match Engine

The 3D Match Engine has seen extensive improvements, including enhanced AI, improved lighting and player animation, individual player character and kit models, more realistic player reaction to on-field incidents and a range of optimisations which combine to make this the best looking and fastest FM Match Engine yet.

Tactical overhaul

There has been a complete redesign of how tactics are created, selected and implemented with player roles and team strategies becoming even more prominent, definable roles for players for multiple positions, new player roles and instructions and improvements to rival managers' AI so that they’ll adapt their tactics more readily over time.

More realistic transfers and contracts

FM 2014 features a revamped transfer module where opposing clubs and managers adopt a more realistic approach when making or responding to transfer offers. In addition, a number of new ‘real world’ transfer clauses have been added, such as the facility to loan a player back to the club he’s just been bought from and the option to offer a combination of cash and loan players, as well as new contract clauses such as a sub bench appearance fee. On top of this, the old ‘turn-based’ system of transfer negotiations can now be done two ways, the tried and tested system and a new ‘live’ system, similar to that used in FM’s contract negotiations.

More sophisticated board interaction

Contract negotiations are more realistic in FM 2014, as managers and boards can now make demands and lay down their respective visions for the club in both initial job interviews and contract renewal discussions. Managers can also attempt to renegotiate transfer and wage budgets as a reward for staying loyal if they’ve been offered a job by another club, with the outcome helping aid their decision on whether to move or not.

Improved interaction with players, staff and media

There is now better interaction between players, managers, their rivals and the media; for example, members of the coaching staff now offer feedback on how reserve and youth team players are performing. Managers can also ask key players to have a word with unhappy squad members, while the introduction of an end-of-season meeting allows the manager to let the squad know how they have performed and set targets for the coming season.

News system

The news system has been overhauled so managers can now deal with many club matters directly from their inbox. In addition, news is now colour-coded, based on category, and contains more detail – for example, scout reports now appear as a single news item with a top-line report on all players scouted and the facility to shortlist or make an offer for each of these players.

Enhanced user interface

Major changes have been made to FM 2014’s user interface. Key areas have been redesigned – including the training overview page, the transfer centre and the news homepage – while widespread changes have been made across the game’s user interface. The language employed throughout the game has also enjoyed a major overhaul and now corresponds more closely to the language of real world football.

Football Manager Classic evolved

Managers can now choose more than three playable nations in Classic mode for a more immersive experience. In addition, FM’s ‘fast play’ mode now includes Transfer Deadline Day, a Match Plan wizard and new unlockables.
