So apparently there might be some movement on Gareth Bale situation today with regards to a bid.

Any Madrid fans hearing anything?

I just wish it was over now, so we could go and buy Lamela, Willian, Coentrao and Alderwield.
Bale will be the next Mourinho

FUCK THIS

I'm surprised why clubs don't at least attempt crowd source funding initiatives like this.

It could be counted as merchandising thus counting towards the FFP income.

Because we already pay over inflated prices for tickets and merchandise.

There's fans who would really like to see a player at their club, opening a kickstarter like page could work and would be slightly hilarious.

It definitely beats the shirt buying website that was claiming they'd help bring Ronaldo back and turned out to be fake.

Im glad that more people are picking city ahead of chelsea for the title. Everytime chelsea get picked as the favourites, they end up having a disastrous season. Let's just fly under the radar and keep the pressure of us.

Flying under the radar with Mourinho as manager?

Cissokho is far worse than Enrique. Maybe he was good once but those days are long gone. He's nothing more than backup. Siqueira would have been an actual improvement.

Cissokho has had one bad season, last year.

Confident that Rodgers can get the best out of him as well.

- Spurs have done some brilliant business, especially if they keep Bale. Soldado is a beast
- Man Utd have done nothing, and Moyes will need a season to adapt I think
- Arsenal have done nothing, and are already facing something of an injury crisis
- Swansea have done some very good business, Bony will succeed, and they've kept Williams & Michu
- Everton will need a while to adapt to Martinez, managerial downgrade
- Southampton have kept all of the players they wanted to keep, will be further acclimatised to Pottecino or whatever his name is, Wanyama will beast
- West Ham will get the best from Carroll and Downing
- West Brom have not replaced Lukaku, Odemwingie will cunt it up all season
- Norwich have had perhaps the best summer for upgrades in theory
- Sunderland will be frightened into getting results by the mentalist at the helm, got rid of the shit deadwood
- Kinnear lol
- Dunno why I've lost faith in Fulham. Think Bent will prop them up.
- Hughes will get more out of the strikers at his disposal than Pulis did
- None of the promoted clubs have strengthened significantly as far as I can tell, not good enough at this level unless one of the established teams has a shocker

Anyone that isn't tongue in cheek and thinks United finish outside the top four or City finish as low as four genuinely need their head examined.

I think it might be very close between the top 4, with the team in 5th (Arsenal) a bit behind. Any of those 4 teams could swap places off one result.

Or that's what I hope it's like come the end of the season.

I just wish it was over now, so we could go and buy Lamela, Willian, Coentrao and Alderwield.

Willian is over rated. We could use Lamela. Alderweireld would be good as we seem to have defenders made of glass.

This Bale transfer is turning into Modric 2.0. At this point we simply need to sell him off. He's a want away player and I can smell the "injuries" that will plague his season already. If we don't cash in soon we'll be stuck trying to sell an overweight Bale in January for 1/2 the price.

It's the same year with Arsenal. It's not a question of Wenger being unable to identify quality players but one of actually securing them. Take Mata for example. Wenger wanted him but didn't secure the deal quick enough thus giving Chelsea opportunity to snap him.

We've fallen so far behind our 2003-2004 status that now we'll need to be signing two or three players of the quality of Suarez just in order to be put into the same bracket as the two Manchester Clubs and Chelsea. But after another fruitless summer, we're left gasping for just one decent signing to reinforce our 4th place aspirations against continuously stronger opposition from Liverpool and Spurs.

If we continue on this path it is inevitable that we will sooner rather than later eventually concede even that.

The travesty is Gazidis and Wenger have been public with their admission that Arsenal's financial model -- albeit the correct one for the club's health -- cannot compete against that of the elite in Europe and that FFP will be our saving grace. Meanwhile, you have clubs increasingly mocking FFP with ludicrous money being spent. If being unable to compete for titles is a foregone conclusion, then what shall we make of team's around us potentially topping us? How can we continue to maintain even our lowly position of 4th if we regress in squad size/quality every year?

FFP is a joke. Arsenal still won't be able to compete with the teams above them financially. Which means they will always lose out on the best players.
