I think you're selling #basedwoodward short. I've actually been following his methods in my day to day life with some startling and unexpected results. Today for example, I went into a top-end, swanky restaurant
to get some food. After placing my order, the girl at the checkout told me that it would cost £14.55. I went to give her the required amount, but then thought myself "what would Ed do in this situation?". I started by offering her £8.00 for the food, and refused to increase my offer even though she repeatedly told me that it wasn't a sufficient amount.
Unfortunately, in this instance the checkout girl was immune to my incredible business acumen, and called security to escort me off the premises. I got a KFC instead.
