His role is just so undefined that I'm not exactly sure what he's meant to be doing and by the looks of it nor does he. He pops up every now and then and gets out muscled.

I think a clear problem is that Sturridge simply hasn't been fit in any of the games so far, he really just stops running in the second half which blunts the pressing and counter attacking Liverpool probably hope for
