One of Rooney and Fellaini need to make runs in behind the defence. Januzaj needs to stop slowing down. Di Maria needs to take his man on more. He's done it a few times already.

Januzaj is struggling out wide right now as he doesn't have the pace to get by his defenders. He's always relied on the defender committing and getting the better of him with an initial burst of speed, but its not working for him right now. He looks devoid of ideas.

This is why he's better as a #10 where he can utilize his passing and vision.



Anyways, he's going to have more of these kind of games throughout the season. He needs playing time to develop.

He's never really been fast. He's only fast in the first 3 yards or so and it's deceptive so it gets the better of defenders at times. He also relies on the defender making some kind of movement and then quickly makes his move. He tried that this match, but it didn't come off for him.
