Apparently not this thread, lol. :p

On scheduling
The sale of FIFA World Cup tickets will begin after the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013, probably towards the end of August 2013. Tickets for the Confederations Cup will go on general sale after the draw at the end of 2012. We made this decision in order to prevent confusion between the two events among fans.

On procedure
The first sales phase will be a lottery in which fans can apply for tickets, which are then allocated via random draw. Everyone can take part and will have an equal chance of securing tickets. The majority of tickets will be sold through FIFA.com, the official FIFA World Cup website. Similarly to South Africa 2010, there will also be ticket outlets in Brazil for local fans who do not have access to the internet. Furthermore, we will be working with local organisations to ensure we are able to reach every fan.

Individual tickets for all matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ will be sold directly to fans via FIFA.com. FIFA has confirmed that it will not reserve an allocation of tickets for tour operators, and will not conduct an Official Tour Operator Programme for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. Fans will be free to make their own transportation and accommodation arrangements either though their selected tour operator or independently, but must secure their own match tickets directly through FIFA.com.

That's true. QPR fucked us last season (and Wigan have fucked us many a season), though this game is at home and Reading likely have no manager. We should be good, I think. I hope.
Especially since I think Swansea away will be a good test for Spurs and we need to take advantage if they drop points which they well could. Chelsea have Southampton away which they could also drop points in.

I knew that about the tickets, but I was hoping to start a discussion about the practical aspects of attending - which cities, for instance. Or experiences that people have from prior WCs. Maybe it would be better serviced by a new thread.

Yeah, I also knew about the tickets :lol

I don't think I can make it for the whole month-long tournament, so I am probably going for half of it. In order to catch the hype of so many games, I'll probably just go for the group stages. Is this a good idea? Or should I go for the knockout rounds?

I was definitely planning on Rio for at least a week and maybe one or two of the smaller venues. I figure terrible bus rides between cities would do...

FUCK Löw. Mertesacker and Höwedes?

Well I gotta give him credit for playing Draxler over Podolski but that is it.

Line-UP: Neuer - Lahm - Mertesacker - Höwedes - Schmelzer - Khedira - Schweini - Özil - Götze - Draxler- Müller

those top four could show us some magic though.

I don't get the Portugal hate. At all. Is it because of Cristiano?

I think that it's the Barca block hating on Real players and Dutch hating on them for knocking NL out of Euro '12 and people hating CR for being CR.
I'm totally indifferent toward them and supported the fuck out of them vs. Spain.

Pretty reasonable answer.

So I'm supposed to hate Spain, considering all the Barcacunts? loooooooool

The funny thing is that before 98 Portugal had only been to two World Cup Finals. I don't understand how not qualifying is news worthy when we have only 2 world class players in their prime...

is Honduras in Hell or something?

Nope, but the mexican media is doing their hardest to make everyone think so.

We're playing at 3 pm, a conscious decision from our federation to try to fuck with the mexicans stamina. Seemed to work with the USA, but mexicans are pretty damn used to the heat so IDK.

I don't hate the Portuguese national team, but they kind of always play like shit. But can't hate on a club that consistently bends over for Denmark and the mighty Bendtner.

(Nani is a huge cunt too btw)

The Mexican media sort of thinks the team will get murdered if they win over there, lol, and most of the team is not used to playing at those temperatures, so they will definitely get tired as fuck too fairly easy.

lol its ridiculous. Plenty of teams have beaten us @ home and walked away unscathed.

Still, I'm scared they're gonna take the possession away from us, make us run around like headless chickens, and tire us the fuck out :(

This half-time in the Croatia game feels like an eternity with just crowd noise. That's why we need people like Adrian Chiles to liven things up.

are you watching porn just before the game?

I thought about it for a while, but then decided against it + I don't think there's Central Asian porn, lol - though some of the Russian porn chicks are clearly C.A.
(they just showed a few nice looking chicks in the audience)

/woah, Götze almost cut through Kazakh defense.

It is actually a shame he isn't there, he'd mke some shite joke that would get him sacked/murdered

Apparently you're not allowed to dislike Bayonetta's artstyle and soundtrack. Platinum fans are odd.

Just watched local news (north west tonight) and damn those Newcastle away fans that went and disrupted a Sunday league game and then ruined the pitch and equipment.

What a bunch of JT's. Newcastle have released a statement.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Anyone else find it odd that there was absolutely no reaction to the penalty Reading should have had at Old Trafford? Fair enough, the Mancs have the title sewn up, but Reading are gonna get relegated at this rate. Is it just assumed that Man Utd would have won anyway?

I remember last season when they were beating Fulham 1-0 and in the last minute Carrick blatantly fouled someone in the box and the ref waved it away. It takes a brave referee to blow for an opposition penalty at Old Trafford in the first place, to give one in the last minute...I don't think any ref would have the balls. That's true for most of the big teams on their home turf.

I don't remember exactly what happened in the Reading game anyway.
