I always though Murray playing devils advocate and calling out some of the ex pros actually made the show better.

Angles had some good songs on it. At least better than their third effort, what a terrible album that was.

They went like: CLASSIC --> Pretty awesome --> Wow, what is this crap I'm listening to? --> Mkay, is this the same band that made Is this it? I guess it's okay.

So I'm wondering what they've come up with now.

Room On Fire was alright but outside of the dynamite Reptilia there's nothing there even close to the quality of anything on Is This It. Juicebox and Heart In A Cage were the only good songs on the fucking shit third album, and Machu Picchu is pretty good on an otherwise forgettable fourth.

It's insane. I just read an article the other day about a former NBA player who now owns 40 Papa John's pizzas, 39 of some other huge chain, multiple car dealerships and a bunch of other stuff. That is what every pro athlete who makes millions of dollars should be doing. Going bankrupt when you've made so much is just unfathomable to me...

Unless you're Brad Friedel and then it's just sad.

I guess it's because they keep on living their flamboyant lifestyles despite the fact they have no money coming in. If you're a footballer and you don't become a coach or a pundit, unless you did well at school then there aren't that many job prospects for you other than starting your own business.

I don't think cheap hotels exist in London. My brother let us sleep at his place when we visited thankfully. My folks visited a year or two before and stayed at a nearby hotel (mind you this in Shoreditch.. essentially East London) and it was £200 per night.
