L'Equipe posted an interview of Watzke that appears publicly for the first time after the transfer blowout:

Translation: Watzke didn't blame it on Bayern to lure Götze and did not mention anything about the timing of the announcement. He reiterated that his players have the right to/must(!) compare offers and select the best one for themselves. Once their decision is taken, the management respects it. Whatever they choose at the end.

Watzke ---> respect + 100

Occasionally exceptionally boring football and taking advantage of the TV deal are the only reasons to dislike the club imo, and the TV deal is entirely your FA's fault. Alba is the only player I genuinely dislike when he's on the pitch, can't stand him.

TV deal is a fucking disgrace(got that from drogba bitching after Iniesta happened). It really is a disgrace though.

eg Valencia would probably have been able to keep players like Silva, Mata, Villa, P.Hernandez, Alba and so on. and buy more at the same time. etc

I'm sure I'm not the only football fan who still regularly says 'its a fucking disgrace' while doing the arm movement for the lols :D

Yes. Put your money where your mouth is or you'll obviously be viewed as hypocritical and duplicitous

Remember that Hoeneß isn't Bayern alone. Sammer said a few days ago that he doesn't care what Uli said about the competitiveness of the league right now. He wants to win everything multiple times while he's in charge, the rest can come later. Sure he wasn't 100% serious and slightly overacting but there are more forces at work than the president. And I guess his influence will wane even more now.

If Dortmund didnt know anything about this transfer, that means Bayern tapped up Gotze and isnt that illegal?

Dortmund did the exact same thing with Reus. Nobody talked to Gladbach until the deal was done.

They are not really easy to hate anymore in my opinion.
They are pretty easy to hate. When you watch a Barca vs Real game and you see Alba acting like he's been shot all in an attempt go ruin the game by getting a player sent off its highly annoying. And I know Madrid do it too, I hate them for it as well.

Alba - I can't argue with you about him. I'm not a fan of his attitude either. The others have mostly improved though bro.

Should happen more often!!!!!

Thanks lightning! A lot of you guys are worth posting in this thread for :) Good luck to Arsenal in the final few games. I hope we both make it.

Juergen Klopp said he's afraid the Bundesliga will end up like the SPL recently. Bayern buying all the best players from the other German teams will bring that closer. Hence why them buying Goetse is bad for the Bundesliga IMO.

heh, now it all makes sense

but why couldn't dortmund wait a month to announce this transfer?

Aarrgghh, FIFA why are you so cray?

I just got a message from one of my best players (Adryan) that he made his mind up and he's going to leave. And that message came two weeks after he got the raise he asked for. I can't stand it that players are leaving and there's nothing I can do about it :(

So no matter where Pep ended up he wanted Gotze.

Can't really hate, it's just unfortunate Pep ended up at Bundesliga team. I'm sure lots of players want to play for Pep regardless of allegiances.

Götze will earn around 12m euros p.a. (some 200k pounds per week) - probably the most a 20yo footballer ever earned..

(In the press conference) Klopp implied that the leak is by Hoeneß, not Bayern (without explicitly saying so).

Media implies it's Bayern (and or Hoefuck): http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/ve...es-ablenkungsmanoever-des-fc-bayern-1.1656464

Pretty clear that it's either Hoeneß alone some other cunt from the bayern dump.

/thinking about burning my 11/12 kit with Götze on it (after carving out the BVB crest).

//death to bayern

Whoa! We met bro? PM me and identify yourself :D I supported the Italian national team at the World Cup due to my fondness for Cannavaro, Del Piero, Pirlo and Buffon especially.

WELL WELL

That's basically Juve, Fady.

Hey, you've already admitted that you believe in conspiracy theories and that you wish a player that helped your team tremendously will break his foot. I'm sure once the bitterness and hate fades away you'll see more clearly how ludicrous it is for us to leak the story today (instead of tomorrow).

We're not all-powerful when it comes to the media, if we were we would've kept that the Hoeneß story hidden a few more days (which was leaked solely by Focus). And given how negative this news is for today's match we're apparently not even able to leak a story properly. It makes no sense to leak the story today and it's ludicrous to assume that this is a planned move (instead of someone simply passing information to a newspaper).

You obviously have your eyes set on who is the culprit and have constructed a weird, convoluted explanation to support that. Whatever makes you happy. Your reaction right now is understandable, I think it's best to wait a few weeks until the anger has passed. At least the pressure is now off Götze, who has been a bit underwhelming the past few weeks. No more hiding, no more lies.

I took some time and thought about it. Honestly, I might as well go with the psychology shit how you think I'm talking only crazy shit because I'm sad, disappointed in Götze, etc. and can't think properly. But no.

Look at the single points:
- Götze can get fucked.
- Bayern did the right thing buying him

and now, the important point, the one we're talking about:
- Bayern fans here saying "it hurts Bayern just as much and was a stupid time" is fucking ridiculous. Seriously.

Your argumentation has gotten to the point where you say that your club doesn't have the power to keep a very big (private) crime secret and thus has nothing to do with leaking transfers. Yeah, I fucking hope they can't keep crimes silent. Those are totally different things and has nothing to do with Bayern's connection to Bild's sport page and possibly leaking transfers. Of course the Hoeneß story didn't really help anyone at Bayern but come the fuck on. You can't just keep quiet about a crime just because a football club has an important match, connections and relations aside.

I don't know for sure if someone at Bayern was at fault but I'm rather certain that someone at Dortmund wasn't. And that doesn't leave many possibilities open. If it was a planned move by Hoeneß or just Bla still being pissed at Dortmund after last season, getting the information from someone talking too much and leaking the story, who knows? What does it matter? Shitty thing to do from Bayern side (again: I'm not directly blaming the board members or something) and it does in no form hurt Bayern anywhere as much as it does us. The press conference today was all about Götze, yeah, hurts us as much as Bayern, right...
