Yup.

YOLO.

Love you, Felipe. I'm sure you're posted it before, but how come you're not into brazilian football/teams? It's perfectly understandable in my case, since Slovenia has a shitty league that barely deserves the name, but in Braziu, pais tropicau, tierra de futbol campeiones ayayayayay ...

So that's my reason for supporting Manchester United. Dwight Yorke's timely move. Think, I could be a formation bro with El Ahmadi instead.

Why do you guys support the teams you do? Arnold, family ties? Viva, you live in London right? DC, glory hunting because you'd only just caught up with the 1968 league title?

Zabo, you're Slovenian? How did it come to be Juve?

Your point being what exactly? That you can't support a team unless it is famous worldwide? Is there a glory-hunting quota that must be met?

...

Dude, supporting foreign teams doesn't automatically entitles you as a glory hunter. Not when you invest so much of your time and money. But think what you want.

Football in brazil is shit. It's not exciting. It doesn't have matches like the ones in europe. Doesn't have fans or stadium like it. It's a whole different level.

Could you support a team in a league where Neymar looks good?

Family full of United supporters. Watched them ever since I had an interest in football.

Sviat is the best, I always imagine an emo Capello typing out everything he says.

You guys make a big deal out of this because you were already born in a country with popular football and have been supporting a team since your dicks were smaller than Wilbury's current dick size. But people like me can choose a team from whatever league to follow, and will eventually love another one equally.

3 teams is taking the piss though.

No one is making it a big deal, people just enjoy dortmund and their football, but wouldn't want them to beat their own team.

I personally just find it hard how someone can support 2 teams equally. Surely you'd prefer a winner if Liverpool played Bayern in the CL final?

*Sturridge scores a goal*

Would you be complaining about how bad Bayern was defending or would you be celebrating the goal?

*Suarez kicks Kroos in the face*

Do you yell for the ref to send him off or do you say "he was going for the ball, that's harsh"?

Family.

I got a hard bound book for my 21st birthday chronicling my journey from blob of skin to marketing hunk in around 100 photos. It ends with a quote from Bill Shankly, and presents a nice historium of the various Liverpool shirts I've owned along the way.

The passport photo timeline of birth until now is frightening. Humans are strange.

Going to be bathing funny when Barcelona waste 45+ million on that idiot and are not any better for it. :p

But how do you end up at supporting Arsenal as a Dutchman
Dennis Bergkamp is one reason, EPL's superior exposure to other leagues in NZ and my first holiday to London I got a lot of Arsenal gear from my parents. Basically fan ever since .

I only started following football when Bruce Rioch took over Arsenal. I was just a child and Rioch didn't last long so I knew nothing about him.

Born and raised, yeah. I live near the italian border, where pretty much everyone speaks italian and follows Serie A. My grandfather and father are both Vecchia Signora supporters. I've become interested in football and Juve in the early 90s, when all my retarded friends were rooting for fucking Milan. Berlusconi's money et all. I was a contrarian even back then, so it had to be Juve, the family club, which at the time sucked pretty bad. E poi vidi Del Piero ... and it's been true and eternal love since then.

RVP's dreams come true :')

Robin Van Persie’s ultimate sporting dreams are finally coming true.

The little boy inside him is still thrilled at being part of the team that has seen Manchester United crowned as English champions for the 20th time.

The 29-year-old Dutchman explained: “I was having lunch the other day with Rio Ferdinand when four 10 year-olds from our Academy came in.

“They had nice United tracksuits on. They looked curiously around the place. I said to Rio, in 10 years time those boys will probably be playing in the first team.

“Now, at their age, they don’t have any worries or stress yet.

“I also told Rio that at that age I had the time of my life. It probably was the most wonderful time as a footballer. Every day I used to walk round in a track suit. Trainers or football boots were the only things I’d wear on my feet.

“All day at school, after school, on the street, at the club, at PE. Tired? I was never tired. It is amazing that as a kid you don’t feel aches and pains.”

Van Persie explains that this is why he loved his time as the little boy in love with football more than anything. All he needed was a ball, his boots and the street or a game at the club.

On Sunday he will walk out at the Emirates as part of the title-winning Red Devils team. It will be his first return to Arsenal since his controversial £24million transfer to Old Trafford last summer. He will feel vindicated at finally becoming a champion after eight years of near misses with the Gunners.

Van Persie says he still does not know how he will react to Sunday’s emotional trip.

He said: “I really don’t know what to do on Sunday.

“I remember that I had decided to celebrate a goal against Arsenal in a really calm way earlier this season at Old Trafford. That went kind of ok.

“But I can’t always anticipate what will happen. Sometimes emotions get the better of me. But then again, what I find more beautiful than the actual championship is the way towards winning it. It is one big process.’’

Van Persie, who may well have despatched the goal of the season in last Monday’s title-clinching win over Aston Villa, admits there have been times when his team have not been in breathtaking form.

He explained: “We played Stoke City away. The wind gusting in from three gaps between the stands was ferocious. All their players are 6 feet plus. On days like that, I know that it is going to be nothing but a hard battle. And that’s what I liked about United this season, every player is prepared to battle.

“We have a winning mentality here. I love that. We only have to look at each other on the pitch and we know that we trust each other.

“I have the best job in the world. Every day I can play football. I can see myself carrying on like this for a long time. I used to be addicted to Diego Maradona’s videos.

“I also loved watching moves and turns by Johan Cruyff. Some sportsmen like watching films of Rocky, I used to be crazy about those videos. I saw the moves of Maradona and Cruyff as art. Once I had watched one of their videos, I was ready to go and burst on the pitch.

“I made mistakes when I was young. Then I joined Arsenal and met players like Bergkamp, Henry, Pires and Arsene Wenger. Great people. They all wanted to help me.

“Even at Arsenal I could get impatient. I wanted to go and knock on the manager’s office door and ask him why I was not playing.

“Dennis (Bergkamp) said: ‘Don’t! It might work like that in Holland, but not here. This is England.’

“So I said, ok, I will wait and keep my mouth shut for a bit. I appreciated he told me to be patient. I do the same now with young players. I love talking to the Academy lads at the club now. I know how they feel, I know why they feel like they do.”

There’s a new dimension to Van Persie’s life.

His six year-old son Shaqueel has already asked his dad if he can stay longer than just three or four years at United.

It made the United striker smile.

And it reminded him again about the little boy he once was himself.

I mean we all make fun of Brazilian League defending whenever Neymar's name comes up but the league is far from bottom of the barrel. Lots of talented and exciting footballers play there. The world champions, best club in the world, Corinthians play there after all!

Still though, multiteamers are scum of the earth. One club team, one national team, that's it.

You guys have some logical reasons for supporting your teams.

When I first came to England when I was 8, I wasn't much aware about football. Then some kids comes along in the playground and ask me what team I support. No team ofc. Thry show me a newspaper with the league table and ask me to pick one. I scroll my finger up and down and randomly stop. Voila, Sunderland. Followed them since, but only really got into footy when I was in college (pre uni).

If I really took the time to think about it I would probably be an Arsenal fan, enjoyed watching them the most as a kid. Still have a soft spot for them.

I was born less than a mile from Fratton Park, so my choice of team was very logical indeed. My dad actually defected from Southampton to Portsmouth, the rest of the family on his side are Southampton fans.

My friend who got me interested in football was a Chelsea fan, so I supported them too.

I remember a kid in my primary school was a huge United fan, and then one no-uniform day he came in in a bunch of Chelsea gear saying he supported them now. Would've been around the time of the first Mourinho league title.

If I supported like many do by proximity to the club I would be a Barnet fan. At least they have Edgar David now?
