Football Thread U 2013/14 |OT8| 3rd in a 2 team league

Not really

fuck Gerrard

Killzone 2 was good, but 3 was one of the worst shooters I played this gen. Just a turd through and through.

CANT WAIT TO PLAY WEST BROM

WHICH IS STRANGE BECAUSE THEY BEAT US TWICE LAST SEASON

That home match made me feel like an uncle had died. Started work an hour late for it, had to leave just after we missed the penalty and that cunt McAuley scored. Checked my phone thinking there was a chance we could have equalised, only to find out we'd lost 0-2. Never truly recovered :p

We had way too many matches like that in the last 2 seasons

I'm home and it is cup weekend on FIFA. Life is all good

Then check your inbox son

Also, welcome back

I saw it, just couldn't be assed to type out a long reply on the iPad :p That is all fine just message me when you want the family sharing back!

The nurse finally chucked you out, eh? Welcome back.

They said yes at like 10 am but wanted to wait for another doctor at like 2pm :(

Is staying in hospital as boring as I remember it being?

FUCKING YES! I at least had my iPad with my Podcasts on it!

Its alright, dislike most of the characters apart from Crazy Eyes and Porntache

"K" would have sufficed :p

How's the hospital food in the UK? I always loved hospital food as a kid.

Those are insultingly low odds on Liverpool. They've always had trouble with WBA and even though they no longer have Lukaku, they'll still cause them trouble tomorrow.

I'll chase a double chance on WBA on my kamikaze accumulator.

The common wisdom is that Liverpool will always have low odds because they get floods of bets from fans in Asia who think Liverpool are still the best and will win every game. Certainly rings true in my experience.

Is there a footygaf Soccer Manager world?
If so, can you PM me the name of the world.

For those that dont know, its an online game where you manager a club, and buy and sell players on a market, whose ratings change based on their real life performance. Its very addictive. Sort of like a free online version of Football manager, where you compete against other real life players.

If there isnt, would there be any interest in a Footy Gaf world being made?

Reflektor is so James Murphy. Faridmon, listen to it.

You know you want it.

Do it.

Don't hate Arcade Fire.

Fuck it. Why can't he work with decent groups for once.

Fine, I'll buy your record Arcade Fire, you win!

EDIT: Everywhere, I go, its ''LCD Soundsystem through and through'' and ''You can hear James Murphy everywhere'' Fuck you life.

Incidentally, the New Cloud Control Album is very different from their debut album. I have listen to it once. Hopefully I like it more, but so far, its repetitive.

Yurt

Guardiola: "Even with difficulties, Juve are world class & among Europe's big sides. They can win 3 consecutive games & qualify."

Pep is cool.

Deep down inside I know we're proper fucked though, but you never know. :]

Kompany out vs Chelsea, confirmed.

Is it CSKA that faked the quotes? Should at least have some idea where the fabricated quotes came from before grabbing a pitchfork. Sounds like the work of journalists, to me.

Why do you think that? It's still there:

edit
Though, it's not crystal clear what he himself means on Facebook.

Following our 1-2 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League on Wednesday, I want to clarify my position after my Ivory Coast team mate and friend Yaya Toure accused CSKA fans of racism.

I want to insist that I did not talk to any journalist about these facts so none of the quotes you read in the press came from me.

Thanks to all for your continued and faithful support.

btw, Eurosport:
Eurosport Russia's Aleksandr Aksenov was at the game on Wednesday and gave us his take on the controversy:
"I was in the stadium on Wednesday and I heard the monkey chanting from CSKA fans. It started in the third minute of the game. It reoccurred several times when Toure gave a pass or shot.
"I can't understand comments from Roman Babaev, CSKA executive. In my personal opinion, he could say that the club is very interested in solving this situation and to help UEFA. But he said that he didn't hear anything and Manchester City need to prove the monkey chanting was real. It's a really strange statement from the executive of one of the biggest clubs in Russia."

Damn straight! He devoted an entire chapter to Liverpool but only a paragraph to the Rock of Gibraltar

Fergie's red herring and the truth behind the murky Rock

"Whatever the truth behind the Rock, Ferguson was the 50% registered owner and as the horse's value skyrocketed with his success, it became clear that the potential stud value of the Rock would be huge (up to 10million/year). Whether Ferguson had any claim to the stud money was the root of the long running and ugly dispute which would ultimately see Ferguson sue Magnier for 50% of the stud fees."

"In reality Ferguson is probably deflecting anger towards the BBC because he is still fuming that he was completely outmanoeuvred by John Magnier. A man that is used to bullying people into accepting his way was bullied into submission by a more powerful man and made to look very foolish in the process. Alex Ferguson came very close to losing his job in the process, he was also very close to having all his dirty linen washed in public. Magnier and McManus walked away with a huge profit, selling their stake to Malcolm Glazer in 2005."

"Ferguson was clearly rather scared that his dirty linen was to be aired in public. This was because neither Magnier or McManus had a seat on the board, meaning that they could at any point have called an emergency general meeting to discuss the 99 questions in front of all shareholders. Ferguson clearly had a lot to hide, he had bitten off more than he could chew in taking on Magnier, Magnier had found out things that Ferguson didn't want to see the light of day, Ferguson didn't want the 99 questions to be made public and he quickly dropped the lawsuit."

Haha, good! :p

I like the new Cloud Control, good to see a band doing things that different. Seeing them next week, they are opening for Local Natives. So that's two cool bands in one night.

what the fuck are these 99 questions?

what the fuck are these 99 questions?

Irish pair's 99 questions

"Magnier and McManus are adamant that the terms of the internal investigation being conducted by the club's finance director Nick Humby are not wide enough.

Rather than just focusing on United's most recent transfers, the racing tycoons want more information about deals going back nearly six years, including the moves of Juan Sebastian Veron, Rio Ferdinand, Diego Forlan, Jonathan Greening, Mark Wilson, Jaap Stam, Tim Howard, Kleberson, Christiano Ronaldo, Roy Carroll, Laurent Blanc, David Bellion and Massimo Taibi.

They criticise United's financial reporting, saying: "While the reports purport to provide a snapshot of the company's financial position . . . there is insufficient detail about key transactions."

Many of these transfers are suspected to have had some connection with Sir Alex Ferguson's son Jason and his Elite agency, either directly or through associates.

The 99 questions, and an equally damning covering letter, were sent by lawyers acting for Cubic Expression, the company through which Magnier and McManus own 25 per cent of United. It is highly critical of the secretive way transfers are conducted by agents and the failure to fully disclose the amounts paid to them."

I don't play bass. Everybody knows bass players are basically failed guitar
and Rocksmith
players. You might like this song I recorded a few years back. Yes, my real name is Marco Sfogli and I'm bald.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOx_uxq7i3g

I gave you a like, Vin Diesel.

But srsly though, God damn. I feel like not playing any longer after that, I still have issues getting my fingers on the frets properly. Started playing in January, only thing I can do consistently is Smoke on the Water.
