Jaime Carragher: Ruben Dias Has Reached the Level of Van Dijk

Carra's salty VVD is a better back than he ever was. If Chelsea doesn't concede a goal in the finals he'll say Christensen has reached the level of Virgil.

Dark Rider Dark Rider thank you mate! I was surprised of how off the pace you guys looked, I guess 47 injuries in one season could do that to a team!

Benzema is another level of footballer, was shit scared whenever he would touch the ball, Eden was quiet both legs but he had only just come back from another injury so it upset me seeing the press attack him after the match.

I think now we've beat you to get to the final, we really might have a chance.

I don't care whether it's entertaining or a park the bus affair, just bring that UCL home Tuchel!

Do you think so? He’s always seemed like a big fan of VVD.

Also what he actually said was Dias has been the best Premier League player this season and in some ways is more impressed with him than VVD because he doesn’t have the same physical gifts. He wasn’t necessarily saying he’s better.

NOBODY IS ON THE SAME LEVEL AS SAINT VIRGIL

Speaking of VVD is he going to rush and play in the euros? if he does not wait until he is fully fit that might impact next season for him.

58 injuries actually :messenger_grimmacing_
The players were dead tired and not fully fit to the point it would have been expected that Zidane sub himself in to play :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Benzema is the only forward we have this season that is doing a good job, the rest are a complete disaster so no one had any fear facing us this season and I was shocked we make it this far.

Hazard has been here for three seasons now and I don't think even him will disagree that he was a financial disaster for us so far. He basically contributed nothing, I personally would not make any personal attacks to anyone but I can't help but feel that he is a failed transfer and we need to move on to someone else that can help us and I think there's nothing wrong thinking that.

I think now we've beat you to get to the final, we really might have a chance.

It is a final so both teams have a chance for sure, you both earned getting there so it should be a solid game.

I don't care whether it's entertaining or a park the bus affair, just bring that UCL home Tuchel!

Well me and all the neutrals would rather it be entertaining :messenger_beaming:

[Mainz 05] This is the 4th time in a row a former Mainz manager will manage in the CL final (Klopp x2, Tuchel x2)

They need to hide their managers.

[Rob Harris, AP] BREAKING: 9 of the 12 Super League clubs formally renounce the breakaway to UEFA but will have 5% of their European competition revenue withheld for 1 season. 3 remaining rebel teams now face disciplinary action from UEFA - Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid

5% for one season is too low, does not inspire confidence about the punishment of the remaining 3.

[COPE] After the Champions League final, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin will propose to exclude Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus out of European competition for 2 years.

I don’t really get what Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus are holding out for here. Obviously they still want to do something like the Super League at some point (and let’s be real, the teams that pulled out still want to do it too) but it’s not going to happen any time soon. Why are they still holding off?

Huh, I figured Neymar would leave PSG some point soon. He’s ridiculously talented but disappears from the wider public consciousness because the vast majority of people don’t care about PSG other than a handful of Champions League games each year.

Yet another chapter today in pigmol and the Premier League’s attempt to manufacture a competitive product. In reality we would have won the league 3 or 4 weeks ago if the referees in this country weren’t bent. I’d be interested to know what percentage of our games Anthony Taylor and Michael Oliver have been involved in this season, as it’s extremely high.

Barcelona and Atlético Madrid game result was a draw which is the best result for us :messenger_beaming:
Only problem is we must win all our remaining games to ensure we win the league no matter what :messenger_downcast_sweat:

They don't want to pay the exit fee + they can hide behind the European courts to fight off the punishment that is planned for them + if/when the super league happen they will have a senior rank over all the others that pulled out.

He has two contracts each worth hundreds of millions, one with PSG and one with PSG owners to be the face of the 2022 World Cup. If he exit either of the two they will terminate the other. He is collecting money and any drama he does or transfer interest is just smoke so he can get even bigger renewal contracts from PSG.

[Tamsut] Bayern Munich's fan & ultra groups continue to call for #FCBayern & its leadership to take a stand against UEFA's Champions League reform. "Be it the Super League or the #UCL reform: Football for fans, not millionaires! Rummenigge, Kahn, Gerlinger (club bosses): It's up to you!"

The reform is bad and need to be scrapped to be honest. It creates a vicious cycle where select clubs are always in the CL because they were in it before instead of earning being in it every year.

[skysports] 🚨 BREAKING🚨 Juventus will be kicked out of Serie A if they do not withdraw from the 'European Super League'

[ESPN FC] Italian Football Federation President, Gabriele Gravina, says he is ready to kick Juventus out of Serie A

Juve will file for an injection in court I think and they will get it but it will be hard for them to win since the other clubs in the league signed on kicking them out.

Thoroughly deserved champions. 8 points behind at Christmas, pure mental strength.

Best defence.

Best midfield.

Best attack.

Best signing of the season;

3 in 4. 5 in 10. Now get Kun smashing Shrek’s record, and let’s show Chelsea our first team for a change.

Gundogan, Bernardo, Cancelo absolutely phenomenal alongside Dias but Phil fucking Foden and John Stones, incredible.

John Stones forcing Laporte out of the strongest 11, what a fucking beast.

Stones deserves huge credit for playing his way back into the team. It looked like he was done and now he's become a key part of a high level team. Laporte is a great player too who was one of the first names on the team sheet not too long ago so it's not like the spot was just sitting there for the taking.

In a contracted season where everyone were tired by Christmas, it must be nice to have a massive squad bought by oil money.

Played under the same conditions that everyone else did. City and United actually had less of a rest between the end of last season and the start of this one than everyone else did.

It’s great mate, just so you know though; everyone is permitted the same 25 man squad size.

If our rivals didn’t spunk hundreds of millions of pounds on useless lumps like Lukaku, Sanchez, Diallo, Bailly, Van De Beek and Thiago they might be able to compete. Or if they budgeted more accordingly like when City signed Gundogan for £25m in the same summer that United bought a show pony like Pogba for £100m, or Liverpool spending all of their budget on Van Djik and Allison, they might have more robust squads.

Steffan, Zinchenko, Foden all giants in our successes this season and cost peanuts.

Anyway, keep filling up your car with petrol please mate and using those tears as lubricant for your cry wanks :messenger_tears_of_joy::messenger_tears_of_joy:

City’s expenditure over the last 5 years dwarfs everyone else’s - spent GBP160 more than Chelsea. I suppose City fans don’t have much of a choice than to accept that they’re being used for sportswashing. Might as well get a few trophies along the way.

Couldn’t give a fuck mate :messenger_tears_of_joy: and if we weren’t successful, neither would you. All boils down to jealousy, as there’s no clean money in football.

And you know, we’re the only English team who’ve qualified for the Champion’s League for the last 10 seasons straight, and have won 5 out of the last 10 League titles, no shit we have loadsa fuckin money, it’s audited legitimate revenue :messenger_tears_of_joy:

The only reason City is in the CL is because they had better paid lawyers than the EUFA. And no, it’s not legitimate money. Trying to put myself in a City fan’s shoe - yeah, I would have walked away from the club with that ownership. But then again, it’s not like City is a big club with a whole lot of fans.

About the fact that the PL scheduled 3 matches for United in 6 games?
Not like that was some grand conspiracy to cost United the title though to be fair. With the postponed game it was always going to be tricky trying to fit that game back into the schedule.
