Also, I shouldn't be a 47 year old man baby. I have entered the phase where I am so far outside of the "target audience" window that now I just don't buy anything. That somehow that makes me even angrier.
I actually have EVERY collectors edition "final fantasy thing" that has been released (including that sweet ass wonderswan color bundle) but no way in HELL am I spending $250 bucks on a collectors edition set that doesn't come with a game. FUUUUCCCCCCK YOU CLOUDS

There aren't many timelines where a FFIX remake is good, so maybe this is for the best. FF VII was a lot easier to pull off since it already had a realistic type art style and tons of CGI to base things on. I think IX is gonna be tough to please the majority with what they decide to make all the characters look like.

I'm with GAF. The game's on a list for which most of the other titles have come into existence. More importantly, 9's the only title in the series Squeenix hasn't milked with some kind of enhanced rerelease. A full on remake seems unlikely, but a remaster in the vein of 8's has been my assumption for some time now.

Edit: I know the Nvidia leak lists 'remake'. That... just does not seem likely. Sorry, FF9 fans.
