Don't worry. That's Dan's announcement for next week along with 720p, compressed, export!enzo_gt said:Hope they're in both, though really in autovista there'd be no point cause there isn't an option to take photos IIRC.
I'd VERY MUCH like a GT-like mode to take photos in all those locales.
Its a good thing they stopped using that song for every action movie 10 years ago, otherwise it would have made the trailer seem generic.Xanadu said:its such a good trailer, damn i want new track info so bad

And instead they used a song that was also used in another opening trailer at E3. I'd have preferred to see the leaked one on the main MS stage, TBH. Something to say "fuck family friendly, here's some MAN gaming with balls and testosterone and shit". Not fucking Kanye.soundscream said:Its a good thing they stopped using that song for every action movie 10 years ago, otherwise it would have made the trailer seem generic.

Hopefully the former, as that's the only thing that makes sense.Mizzou Gaming said:I saw where they are rewarding players with cars based on what level you reached in FORZA 3 but how does that work? Does a level 50 get all the cars below 50 or do you only get the car listed for 50? Hopefully that makes sense.

benzy said:So I'm guessing these environments are just for autovista/photomode? They look a bit more realistic compared to the tracks we've seen. Would be nice if we got to race in these types of locales though.

What do we now reckon?
1. Deliberate cock-tease with basis in truth
2. Deliberately misleading cock-tease with no basis in truth
3. Sloppy marketing with no thought to forum fallout

Greenawalt: Thanks everyone for coming to this brainstorming session for our E3 party. Lets incubate some ideas on how we can deliver our passion for car culture.
Greenawalt: *strokes beard* That sounds like a good way to turn car lovers into gamers and gamers into car lovers. Lets go deeper, suggestions on cars.
Its in their DNA.Mascot said:We laugh about it, but it is probably how it all went down. Either Turn 10 are seriously divorced from Microsoft's marketing department, or Turn 10 themselves thought it would be perfectly acceptable to promote their game with props like rally cars, open wheelers, pictures and videos of cars with headlights on, night skies etc when the actual game contains none of those things. It's a little bit naughty.
I really think the marketing strategy and tactics used in promoting FM4 are even worse than they were for FM3. This is something I thought would be impossible.
They haven't announced any returning ones, but they did announce a Hummer H1, so I think it's fairly certain.eso76 said:are suvs making a comeback ? i don't think they confirmed any of the ones in fm3 returning yet
The only one was the Atom, wasn't it? That's all that comes to mind, anyway.Yenrot said:Open wheel cars were the best cars in PGR4 (in my opinion), just imagine them on Forza.
*le sigh*
Yes, best track in forza 1 needs to return!Xanadu said:the alpine ring? that track was awesome, great memories online
The only time i've ever heard any type of 'effect' coming out from the exhaust was from the Infineon trailer. Right at the end as the Ford GT slows to take the bend, a very clear overrun can be heard (first time in the series).ilkercruiser said:About Hollywood style visual and audio effects... (introduced in Forza 4 Pre E3 video @ 1:57 )
Have "extra shaking and deeper camera angle at high speeds, and exhaust pops" been confirmed?

The backfire/flames isn't inappropriate for racing at all. It's a real life phenomenon seen in any racing on the track.ilkercruiser said:@ 1:55 It's been showing a sample of hollywood style audio and visual effects. (Pre E3 trailer)

I think these features have been canned due to its inappropriateness for racing simulation. (Or keep the performance @60FPS again)

Flames shooting from the exhaust can bee seen in a few E3 vids.
I don't think Turn 10 even know what BRNO is.op_ivy said:so, what about BRNO? fucking amazing track - i think i like it better then SPA :O

What's with the all-caps? Brno isn't an abbreviation, it's the name of a city.saladine1 said:I don't think Turn 10 even know what BRNO is.
It's not Masaryk anymore, it's Brno Circuit now..AMUSIX said:What's with the all-caps? Brno isn't an abbreviation, it's the name of a town.
...any Masaryk Circuit would be an awesome addition to Forza.
Of course, the Masaryk Circuit would be incredible....
