Damn, Top Gear US is so bad. I just can't stand the bearded guy, he's so annoying that I want to slap him in the face each time he opens his mouth. Game looked very good at least and it's always good to see some gorgeous LFA action.
I rewatched some E3 videos yesterday and I was thinking of possibilities for next-gen Autovista. When we see what they manage on this generation, imagine the same thing but with multiple cars in the hangar. Think of the PGR3/PGR4/TDU garages but much much much more detailed. Also, think about the TDU customization options when you buy a car, it would be so cool to have have that and see the changes on those highly detailed models in real time.
Turn 10 could even license this for manufacturers so that when you go buy a new car at your local dealership, you have an Autovista model of the car on which you can modify colors, rims, finish, etc...
It would be much more interactive than looking at square of paints/leather or going through a website. Basically, you could really look at your future car, seat in it, etc...
I know, the amount of work seems insane on paper but the license fee + offering those cars for DLC + obtaining CAD directly from manufacturers could cover most of the cost and working time needed to make that happen.
I'm sure that down the line we'll see more promotional stuff in Autovista anyway, similar to the F10 M5 or the GT-R in Prologue. I mean, imagine, Ferrari announce their new super car meant to take the place of the Enzo and bam, same day you get to virtually seat in it and experience it in full Autovista glory, all without leaving you living room. That would be beyond awesome.
