according to wiki, lap record for full circuit is 1.21 on a lmp1 car.
The way you were just talking I would have assumed you weresupersaw said:There are various layouts, so I guess it's hard to say conclusively which exact one that show was using unless someone here is an Infenion expert.

Chriswok said:So... sorry if this is old debate, but, have extra tracks been sacrificed for fluff Kinect features?
In his defense he did say he didn't have a lot of experience on the track and it would be safe to assume that those laps were set by drivers who had countless hours behind the wheel of those cars.op_ivy said:according to this http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Infineon_Raceway#Typical_Lap_Times
Audi R8 1:21.761
Porsche 911 GT3 RSR 1:34.263
i dont see a mx5 comparing with these in the real world...
so yeah, i'd say tanner should have been quicker with the LFA
watership said:I highly doubt that. It's probably just a new APIs that control everything, like the headtracking and Autovista modes. Things you can already do with a controller. Unless the team that does tracks was pulled off to do Kinect features, which wouldn't make sense.
They were running the Indy car layout with the chicane (9a on the map). That adds a few more seconds to the lap time.op_ivy said:according to this http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Infineon_Raceway#Typical_Lap_Times

Spaceman Spiff said:Even so, 1:44 and change for an LFA on street tires after three hot laps isn't lacking by any stretch. Going be those Trackpedia times, it's right around where it should be in my armchair analyst opinion.
If anything, it was Rutledge's 1:52 with all assists on that was disappointingly slow. Properly sorting this out will require giving us access to the Infineon demo build the guys were playing. What say you, Turn 10?
Chriswok said:Hmm, ok, somewhat less annoyed to know someone doesn't think what I thought. Still, makes me wonder why less tracks. Suppose it won't matter too much if the driving is lovely. Still not as excited as I was for Forza 3, still feels like its going to be Forza 3.2

(to get warmed up for the full game release)
I wonder if steering assist will be shown on the in-game leaderboards, clutch wasn't in FM3 (except on the FM site boards if I remember correctly).
flyinpiranha said:No. And even if so it would be the die hard anti-Kinects that would try and correlate that because this would never be officially stated.
I liked that segment though. You can tell his Rally racing comes through but he seems to handle himself really well on that racing course.
I'm still thinking of picking up a Kinect for the headtracking stuff, looks awesome. I figure if I'm throwing money down for all the Fanatec stuff (wheel, stand, pedals) might as well throw another $100 (craigslist) in there for some headtracking.
Did anybody here that has played it at the game shows use it with the headtracking? I saw some videos and it looked absolutely awesome but I'd like some first hand reports.

Anyways, I've never really been into racing games (except burnout), never really into cars even. A few months ago when I got my license and we got a car (not a van or truck like we had), and I started looking at cars, watching Top Gear, all that sort of stuff. So I just recently got into cars. I think the game looks really cool, but by diving right into Forza 4 am I making a bad decision? Am I still going to enjoy it?[/QUOTE]
forza 4 has LOADS of assists for new comers, if you came in at forza 1 or 2 i'd say no, but with rewind, auto brake, and various other assists, the games are very easy now
In my opinion Forza is the easiest "sim" game to start with.JackEtc said:

watership said:They're really not that bad anymore. It's sort of like "LOL Windows VISTA" even tho Windows 7 has been out for 2 years. Perception changes take longer than real changes. I just bought the Rock Band keytar and the thing is a very solid Midi keyboard with fantastic construction. I think they're really stepping up lately.
US spec had square lights.Marco1 said:It's very clear that the VW rabbit is the Mk1 golf GTi but why does it have the square lights when the gold Mk1 has the round lights?
The round lights are so much more charming. I suppose they are trying to differentiate it from the Mk2.
i wonder why they chose the US spec over the euro one, the euro is much more known and respectedBCD2 said:US spec had square lights.

its really that hard to change the lights? ive seen loads of complaints on the forza forums over the rabbitamar212 said:From the same reason why 70% of Premium models, including "euro hatches", in GT5 have wheels on the right side.
They had US model on disposal, so they've model it.
