The way the engine acts shortly before running out of fuel is super cool though. It chokes for a bit then it just stops and you slowly roll to a stop.

Yes sir, double. Really helps because I only got 300K from forza rewards to start with. Cars are pretty expensive at the start like that.

Both controllers work fine. It's only with Forza and it's frustrating as fuck.

Just got back from paying it off and just need to return later tonight to pick it up. I haven't bothered to crunch the numbers to see if it's accurate, but I'm just glad that fuel consumption is actually a factor now.

I ran 20 laps on the 24-hr layout of Daytona, (which with a full grid of mostly IMSA and FIA GT cars under the lights is balls-to-the-wall amazing), and about halfway through noticed AI cars starting to make for the pits. Switched on the HUD and saw that, yep, my C7.R was close to empty.

'Bout time, too; I haven't had to refuel in a Forza game since FM3.

Not that big of a leap. They are simulating driving a car as other people, not simulating real life motorsport racing. Many of the features that are missing are really based on that premise. Still a beautiful game and damn fun to drive.

Yeah I don't doubt that. I just play a lot of PC sims and they all have championships and stuff. I'd love for this to have it too.

It's weird. I feel like Forza used to have something like this. Regardless, I can't put my finger on what it is, but the game is just downright fun. It just "feels" good racing all around.

Getting a clean line is extremely satisfying in it, moreso than any other game. I'm loving Watkins Glen, flying around that in the Zakspeed Capri Turbo, kissing the apex on corner entry and touching on the rumble strips on exit just feels so right. I dunno what it is, it's just exhilerating.

I hear ya, and I do agree. But to me that feeling is what excites me about racing in general. When playing Forza 5 it just didn't get my hyped, in Forza 6 it feels so good, but I'd be hard pressed to put my finger on why it just feels better in 6.

Physics are definitely better in FM6, that's probably why. That's what I meant, normally it's a good feeling but in FM6 it's incredibly satisfying.

Loving it so far! So many more tracks than Forza 5 and the different conditions definitely ratchet up the difficulty even more.

I haven't really checked out the online scene, but are there options to create your own event? Like run a real-time 24 hour Le Mans with a day/night cycle?

I've already logged a solid 10+ hours, and I'm smitten with this game. I really like the showcase events. They did really well by making them feel different than slightly rescind races.

I'm a huge fan of the ...damn, can't remember the name, but the races where you race as the top spec of an iconic car, and you race against the slower/older versions of the same car - but you have to give them a head start. Racing as an M3 GT2, giving the original M3 almost a 30 second head start at Silverstone - it was a hell of a race. I will probably run that race several more times, even though I beat it soundly. The Corvette one at Sonoma I just barely edged out, that was fun as well but I'm a much bigger M3 fan than I am a Corvette guy.

The tutorial is pretty egregious, the game even acknowledges that I've played prior forza games before and insists on explaining everything. Anyway the game is fucking amazing, first thing I noticed was the sound of the cars bumping togeather, it sounds like A car collision , and not card board box on card board box like forza 5.

Started tonight and sadly going to sleep now, but it's been amazing so far. Did the first volume and the first showcase event, looking forward to more showcase.

Credits so far are scarce, spent it all in mods thinking I'd get an achievement out of it, doesn't seem so. Lol

Haha, same here. Yesterday it was free play time trials in the Mono, and tonight it was free play with 23 AI on the track for long(er) races on Spa, Rio, Bathurst and the Green Hell.

This game is damn good.

EDIT: I didn't see any Drivatars in my events tonight though. All first initial and surnamed AI. Is something up with me or the servers? Wasn't a problem as most of them played nice.

I'm not the best driver but I like to have the difficulty set where if I make one mistake I get punished. I've had to re-play some tracks / races over and over to get top 3. All I want is a points based championship that if I don't win I can simply redo at a later date.

I also liked the Forza 5 Medal System.
You could change the Drivatar difficulty higher to have an intense racing experience and don´t have to bother the placement.
I finished often in silver, but the racing was cleaner and more exciting.
