Okay all my monies are spent, but boy do I have a fuckton of classics now.
Most importantly my Skyline GT-R V-Spec II and Enzo.
I generally dislike special edition consoles but damn if that one isn't sexy as hell. I would have absolutely have bought that if I didn't already have one (and white wasn't an available option, because it is still king).Just got my console delivered, it looks so good in person!!!
You could experience framerate drops, but the first 4 races are just the demo all over again before it opens up. Just do it and get that stuff behond you, if it's not downloaded then, just buy, browse, mod some cars. This download is taking forever! It's at 21% and says ready to start. Anyone try to play before it's totally downloaded? Is this going to mess everything up? I should wait shouldn't I?
So we all agree that the 70s/80s GT cars are the best racing experience in a game, right? Right.
I really hope we get that rumoured IMSA 300ZX.
They are absolutely terrific, along with the 70s grand prix cars. I want more as dlc, there's still great stuff they could add.

Anyone else spawning with transmission damage? I load a track, hold the clutch, don't move and I always have 4% transmission damage instantly.
I'm using a TX wheel with p3pa pro pedals.
Edit: Known bug on the forza forums apparently. I bought this setup for this game, what a bummer.
Shame, I'm just turning off sim damage for now. Annoying that also turns off tire wear and fuel consumption.Yep, I saw it on the inside sim racing's 2hr stream as well.
Just noticed this little effect when you pass through fog in the rain.
The Nurburgring's road textures are the best I've ever seen in a game.
Are the VIP cars exclusive to the VIP pass or just an early access kind of thing?
If you want ForceFeedBack and and play Forza with it, you basically have the choice between a Logitech G920, which is the cheapest, comes with pedals+clutch and you can an inexpensive manual H-pattern shifter upgrade, but it's gear-driven. The Thrustmaster TX is what most people here have, it's belt-driven(which is considered better), comes with pedals without a clutch pedal, but you can get great quality upgrades likes better pedals, GT-style leather-wheel, great manual shifter for it, I have it and with 1-2 upgrades I'd even prefer it over its expensive big brother, the T500RS(which is not Xbox compatible), it's reeeally good. Last option is a Fanatec wheel where you don't buy a set, you buy a wheelbase, a wheel, pedels... all to your preference. Fanatec is belt driven as well and known to make the best racing sim gear below the insane-amounts-of-money threshold. Never tested any of their wheels, but their pedals are fantastic that I can assure you. Dan Greenawalt is a Fanatec fan, I think. Is there a breakdown list of racing wheels somewhere? I want to get one now.

Edit: Sorry forgot about the MadCatz. Don't buy that, never heard a good thing about it.
Started up the game and look what I got on my first roll

No, when I said classics I meant like a 71 Skyline, Ferrari F40, Fulvia, 64 Aston Martin DBS, 69 Charger, 595 esseesse, Escort RS1800, De Luxe Coupe, 74 Stratos, 64 Impala, Datsun 510, Mini Cooper & Beetle etc. The newest things I'd consider classics are probably 92 NSX-R, 98 Impreza, 94 Celica, 99 Viper, 97 Skyline, etc. They'll long be remembered fondly for sure. When you said "classics", I thoguht of a Ferrari 250 GT California, a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing or a Jaguar E-Type.
An Enzo... "Kids" these days.
G920 is $100 more then the TX.
I have been debating on doing the same. It is a very expensive proposition, but thinking of going with a playseat and one of the wheels. Which Wheel is suppose to be the best of the best?
It is really tempting, but I am probably going to grab the Elite Controller when that comes out. Since I am already spending $150 on a controller, I am not sure if I REALLY need another one.
With the exception of the G920s price his post was spot on. TX is really the best option, unless you want to go all out and drop a grand on some fanatec gear.
I love, love, love this game so far. With the exception of the handholding, and I don't think I got all my money; I've played a ton of every Forza game but only got $100,000 :/
The driving is top notch.
Guess I'm not playing my shiny new Forza console and game tonight, it's a 45GB download. How come it doesn't show the progress/percentage of the download? Just says "installing", am I missing something? New to the Xbox One of course...
