- Dynamic tod and weather on all tracks: check!
- Fully rebuild environments with photogrammetry and 3d trees: check!
- in game ray tracing: check!
- improved damage: check!

A generational leap for racing games, it looked incredible.
If we're getting that RT in game on Series S....mind blown.

any word on if Ray tracing will be on during gameplay? the implementation looks very nice either way
Its in game you can even see it in the gameplay snippet
look at the knob on the roof right and the mirrors that reflect the side carbon fiber panel edit: also on the right brake light you see the body reflecting on the glass

Looks absolutely stunning. Only thing GT7 has going for it over this are car models and details.

Colossal mistake by Sony to have these ultra expensive productions be cross-gen.

yeah seems like it.
that's amazing, the RT reflections look way better than I expected. I expected them to do a mix of dynamic cubemaps, SSR and RT, but it seems most reflections are completely done with raytracing (I kinda wanna bet that large water bodies like lakes will still use SSR tho, that's kinda a trend with games these days for some bizarre reason)

To be fair, GT7 was a last gen game which got ported to this gen.
Nothing wrong with that. Polyphony has ridiculously long development cycles.

Jesus, i thought the game loked nice in the show at a shitty bittrate, but this 4k vid, wow.

Its a shame they cant offer 4k high bitrate live streams of these shows, for the people with the hardware and internet to support it.

Yeah it looks incredible and it works also on glass materials which is super impressive and even the trees lod are high quality in the reflection. Its the most impressive looking racing game ever made they are not joking

Looking good! But the gameplay part at the start of the video looked less impressive then these photomode/bullshots.

It definitely still has the Forza Motorsport lighting look that doesn't impress me. Forza Horizon's lighting looks a lot more realistic imo. It's weird since they both use the same engine. Even the photogrammetry rocks shown in this F8 video aren't on the level of FH5.

But it's a fantasy track so who knows . I do like this track but it's always the most cartoony in every Forza.

Damn, doesn't matter if its cross-gen if the Series X version gonna look like this.

This is the best looking racer yet, in-game RT and all.

Looks great, interested to hear clarification on the RT, it looked very impressive and even though it said in game at the bottom, I'm sure they said replays only.

They said on track, not replays only .. what on track means .. don't know ..

I would say on track is while racing .

Is ray-tracing in gameplay confirmed?
The "ray tracing on track" is a bit open to interpretation.

Not that i care about RT, and wont be using it on PC, did they mention if RT was in gameplay too or just replays?

I had my doubts about T10, among others because it had been clearly behind Playground in FM vs FH.

But it seems that without a doubt what they needed was longer development times and not the typical 2 years. This Forza looks up to expectations and fulfilling many requests. The level of circuit detail is stratospheric. From the level of FH5. Real-time lighting, improved damage, better physics, weather... and RT during races. Presumably there will be an RT mode and this will affect the resolution. I don't think everything at once is possible at 60fps.

Starfield stole the spotlight from everything else but Forza looked reeeally good too, loved the damage talk, I wonder how far they go with that

Call me sceptical but that *could* just be a replay with the camera view changed to chase mode. I don't trust anyone anymore 😂
It could be, but its Turn 10 so high chance that its just normal gameplay footage. But your right, nowdays we need to be sure that the devs don't fool us with there PR talk about RT.

First console racer to have in-game RT reflections ?

T10 are extremely proficient if nothing else.

Looks like shitty arcade in this trailer. Meh. In previous games they at least tried to make something that plays like simulator game, seems like not anymore.

PS oh sorry. Raytracing reflections wooooooooo
