the next pokemon card expansion looks like shit. my wallet is safe.

i got 50 packs of the one that just came out yesterday (prismatic evolutions). there are some nice cards but didn't get anything too rare :(

was looking at buying the newest chase card but it's going for £1,000-1,900 and obviously that's not graded. Graded cards won't turn up until later next week at the earliest. Could be a few weeks.

Hopefully it doesn't sky rocket. The price should drop once the set has been out for a while and things settle.

I already have the card in japanese, which I personally think looks better, but english is more valuable. And mine is slightly off alignment so not sure it's worth grading :(

did some maintenance on my bike today :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

noticed my rear brake has been really weak. i could squeeze it right in and it would very slowly slow me down. my front brake was still so effective that i need to be gentle with it. i can feel myself being thrown forward a little as i use it. my chain is rusted and tires feel slightly deflated. was also getting some "squeaking" noises. it seemed to come and go.

so pumped tires up to ~40psi front and ~45 psi rear. when going up curbs it felt more harsh as my rear wheel hit it (i don't have rear suspension only front).

sprayed some WD40 on the chain, axles, pedals, and some rusted screws. cleaned most of the mud/dirt off the the chain and put some wet weather lubricant on it (meant to do this every ~150 miles).

i've never adjusted brakes before. i hate the rubber v brakes so got a disc brake with resin pads on this this bike. adjusted the cable tension and caliper/pad alignments. spun the wheels and they move freely and the pads are as close as possible to the disc (on the cable side).

my rear brake cable is a little worn so i might need to replace that at some point. i've never done any maintenance on a bike like this before and i'm learning.
 
I am having trouble watching Mork and Mindy and Different Strokes because so many of the actors are dead now.

It has kind of tainted the experience for me.

Yeah. He did standup first and Mork and Mindy was his big break. Then, he got into movies.
 
Mork and Mindy only lasted four seasons. They got it for free on PlutoTV. It seems like it was missing the first episode. It was a special.

I got it on dvd. The special confused me and made me think it was not the first episode.

Only two people out of the Different Strokes cast are still alive. Todd Bridges and the guy that played the red headed kid.

On another note, I almost ran off without paying for my stuff at Walmart. Derp.

Been up all morning playing Balatro. Game is crack.

Highest score I've got so far is about 4 million. I have no idea how the hell I am meant to scale any further. The next scores are like 7 and then 14 million.

I have got better at it but I'm lost on what to do next to progress :(
