Wale is 100% right about Drake/Meek tho. Drake could have released just about anything and millions of people would declare he won regardless. It's a numbers game, basically, and Drake had the biggest platform. Which is why IMO Meek's biggest L is that he didn't even try to contest for the streets. That's where the battlefield would have been more even. We could have been saying "soccer moms think Drake won but the streets think Meek won." Instead no one thinks Meek won, AND he became a laughing stock.

There are two different worlds brehs. There are white people who don't know shit about rap outside of Hov, Drake, and Wayne. That's it. Maybe they hear something like Hot Nigga or the Bad Blood remix with Kendrick, but overall they don't care about that shit beyond "oh, that's what everyone on my timeline was talking about."

BTW Meek's response to all of this really shows how weak he is. Wale didn't say anything out of pocket, he just said what most people think. Meek is getting clowned on twitter right now lmao

I usually enjoy most of the interviews Wale does. Too bad I don't really enjoy his music that much. Might go through his discog and see if i missed anything? Does anyone like or keep up with Wale?

Getting clowned on by the demographic whose entire current hiphop experience consists of watching Chris Rock play a corny ass drug kingpin on Empire is pretty fucking embarrassing. Still snapping at Wale is some weak shit. Meek is getting destroyed on twitter all the same, dude is just inviting in the criticism.

But according to Rhymefest, he’s been writing with Kanye since The College Dropout, and hasn’t received credit on a lot of the songs he’s worked on.

“I’ve written for all of Kanye’s albums with the exception of 808s & Heartbreak,” he says, adding, “There are a lot of songs that my name isn’t even on.”

Does Kanye write any of his own music? I ask him.

“Anymore? Or ever?” he replies, with a grin.

“I think sometimes people get to a point where they’re so busy—I’m doing fashion, I’m doing this, I’m doing that—that you lose focus with the foundation of what it is,” he says. “I think sometimes we… we have so many things, that we’re just trying to keep our things, so we lose track of the fact that it wasn’t about the things. You shouldn’t be trying to keep the things, you should be trying to make new things.”

You know it's not surprising but still kind of irks the shit out of me that Rhymefest and other ghost writers throughout history have largely went unnoticed and unappreciated by the masses. It's really fucked up.

How wrong is that celebrity networth site? According to the information there Wale is worth 6 mil while Meek is only worth 3 mil. Meek trying too hard to get that L of the year from Tyga.

i can't believe that back 2 back remix is happening. it's so late, he namedrops rolex 3 times in a 6 second preview, and nobody's gonna care.

it will probably just get more laughs directed at him. he was doing a good job of staying out of the limelight and letting it die down too smh.

Doesn't help that he's going full banshee judging from that snippet, we all know how Wanna Know turned out. At this point he should just focus on his own career... or what's left of it. Dude became a laughingstock and just destroyed the years of work he built up from.
