Damn these mixed reactions. Is it more like Pronto EP or more like Piñata?

Fucking Up the Count was phenomenal, but Extradite is not so hot after a few listens. I will still wait for the official release.

Umm Gibbs ain't never left the trap and admitting to being hyped over a Logic album is more scust than stanning J. Cole.
This new Freddie Gibbs album is boring, just all over the place and Gibbs doesn't sound good over most of these beats

edit: Danny Brown’s New Album Influenced by System of a Down’s ‘Toxicity’

double edit: Gibbs, please don't try to rap like Young Thug

I'm still hyped, the man could make an ode to ICP and it'd still be dope as long as he isn't trying to make an album full of Handstands

Gibbs is more traditional (or mafioso / conscious) hip hop than Future, Young Thug and Travis Scott are. Last I check DS2, Barter 6, Slime Season 1 and 2, and Rodeo are much different than what Gibbs makes and thats whats been on rotation recently. So i have no clue what you mean by "never left the trap". I don't recall me mentioning being hyped over a Logic album, I'm happy to listen to it since Under Pressure was decent and had some good songs. I know it may be shocking to think that people like different things yo

someone post that clip of logic being an idiot

"i dont go outside because i dont like people" or whatever the fuck he said. shit had me laughing.

Hiryu not afraid to confront. That's respected.

Nightcrawler is probably Travis Scott's best track.

You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie. Me, I don't have that problem. Me, I always tell the truth. Even when I lie. So say good night to the bad guy!

Tempted to say Mudface is Redman's best solo album/tape/whatever since Doc's Da Name 2000/Malpractice days. The only thing it's missing are those electronic-funk bassline/guitar heavy Erick Sermon beats. It's still Redman, but it leans on the hard/hype tracks without the darker, hazy side to balance it out. Like, imagine Redman on some Doppelgangaz production jesus christ

If you have room in your heart for a 2015 take on a certain breed of late 90s/early 2000s music, check this out. My favorite track is probably Gettin Inside. Also can't help but feel like Let It Go would've been a big single in that DMX/Ludacris/Diplomats era.
This makes me.so happy to hear, biz too. I didn't forget you.

I like the Gibbs tape but agree that it feels like an extension of the Pronto EP and that some tracks work way better than others.

Aight/Aight

Bit disappointed by this Ty Dolla $ign. New LA is worse than the original version. Other tracks are just kind of.. unambitious, I guess? Credit is kinda cool. Lots of songs that sound designed to be singles but are a bit gruelingly simple on an album.

Totally agree; leaks got me hype, album then made me realize - he's still TY bleeping Dolla Sign.

Sitting Pretty still song of forever.

How is this bad?

Did I write anywhere that this is bad? I liked Pronto but Madgibbs showed he is capable of more - SOAD is a good, solid tape, but I don't feel like he reached his maximum with this one and that some tracks would have needed some more finetuning.

Like I said before: overall I'm still happy with this tape and it has a lot of fire on it
