Huh.
2 months in jail is some shit on your record but as far as a stay goes relative slap.on the wrist. crying in public over that ? cmon mane
Yeah, I wouldn't like it one bit but in the grand scheme of things, two months is nothing. Knowing there's people spending decades and the rest of their lives in jail, I can handle two months.

Maybe he has enemies in the detention center. Hopefully the kid doesn't get killed.

Plus, I can imagine there being people in there that would want to be the one that got rid of Keef.

At the end of the day, Keef brought it upon himself talking about being a part of that life.

tbh im split on fraud full length vs. PT3. i feel like i should be more hype for PT3 but Cigarette Boats was just magic. i.listened to that more than anything else last year. if it was a full length of that quality i would have said AotY easy

That is a good point... Honestly half my excitement is the fact I thought PT3 was vaporware, but even more than that I want to see where they take it PT2 was a progression from PT1 that was amazing and the way Spitta speaks about PT3 its clear he holds it in high regard and will try to step it up for PT3.

Also the madlib tweet from earlier was interesting. Though I want my Gibbs X Madlib even more.

*sees keef crying*
*scrolls down*
*sees khaled trailer*

there's just a part of this genre, business, whatever you wanna call it, that I'll never understand

Fuck keef. Let that dumbass rot in a cell.

Lmao at that trailer. Hes got a new album coming already? Damn, khaled stays working...

By having others produce...

And others rap...

What does he do again?

He puts his pants on one leg at a time just like us, but after that he makes gold records

when he is inspired by a beat his spit is clearly better. Apparently when him and fraud sat down to talk biz for the first time Fraud pulled out a couple sample tracks to play for him, 5 exactly, and spitta just was like 'yea ima need all of these'. Those tracks became cigarette boats.

Pretty damn good. 8/10 (if we're including the deluxe tracks). Fashion Killa and Skrillex tracks are terrible, Pain and Fuckin Problems are pretty bad too.

khaled deep in thought on who to get to work for him next, haha

okay, real question here gaf-hop...ya'll know shit is cyclical, yeah? so ive been thinking...take R&B. shit totally works in a cycle, and ive been kinda waiting to see if/when doo-wop/all male or female group harmonizing comes back in the next 10 years. i think it's inevitable, personally, but you're welcome to tell me where i'm wrong, aint like any of us have a crystal ball and shit.

so with hip-hop...i keep thinking about how not just afro-centricity, but say positivity like the early 90s saw was this weird anomaly. shit like having a dude like pac do "brenda's got a baby", can that ever rise up again? not just like a random radio track like uh when jada did "why" and it blew up outta nowhere, i mean a point we reach when clubby shit is so very over-saturated that something resembling positivity can be heard, if not profitable. i personally think with hip-hop falling the fuck off of the mainstream (see: YMCMB and its exodus of straight hip-hop, etc), maybe a few interesting gems can shine, maybe i'm being optimistic.

so i wanna axe ya'll: listen to this - Chubb Rock - Lost in the Storm

this was not a radio-friendly track in its day, i never even heard it in the day. maybe ace did, i sure didn't. but can you imagine a time in the next decade where shit like this gets play? maybe more electronic/etc but you think it might come back around, to a point where native tongue type shit would have a chance? i'm just curious, but i think as the money falls off, we might start re-examining different sources, and this was one i'd love to see tapped into, at any level. it blew my mind when i was living in texas 10 years or so back and heard "I can" by Nas on the radio, seriously.

Just came back from seeing Kendrick live. Amazing show. I was surprised by how much of his pre-GKMC stuff he did. And ending with Cartoon & Cereal as the encore was the best part of the night. Well worth missing out on some revision time for my exam tomorrow morning.

Kendrick destroyed it live when I saw him in Sydney. Surprised the crowd knew most of his older shit too. He ended up doing what was basically 3 encore songs with C&C, Hiiipower and my most requested, Ronald Reagan Era.

Schoolboy Q and Slaughterhouse is coming next month so I'm pretty hyped for that, but what I'm really waiting for is for Ab-soul to come down. That would be tops.
